Your rose photographs are quite lovely, but this one is my favorite fot its subtle shading and great color. I'm not sure how this one would work out broken into a triptych, but may complement the blue and red versions you have made already .

thankyou for the compliments on the rose pictures. i did love the lemon shades in this and i think if i rotated it and cropped slightly it might well work really well in the same style as the others. i just have to make time to actually try your suggestion out now

Oh sssh! It would've taken a lot of skill to shoot a picture like that as well.

nope - it really was just point and shoot granted some element of talent come sin with some of my other shots9 like the roses with candle flames in the center - or the ice heart with flames coming from it) but this wasn't anything overly complex

I love yellow roses - they have a sentimental place in my heart. This is such a beautiful picture.

well mot of these new uploaded flower pictures this one included was part of a floral tribute for my grandfather - the flowers were lovely so i took some close ups before we take the basket to his resting place - we also favour yellow roses for some reason i think simply because whenever we take yellow ones they stand out lovely against the dark green marble of the stone

In my case we had yellow roses for my father when he passed away and I asked for them for my mother's funeral too. In the garden I have two yellow rose bushes - one for each of them. I don't know why yellow roses were picked to start with, being only a child when dad died, but I've kept the tradition going.

its a sweet tradition and sentiment - its a little similar to what we do with granddad the only time we don't take yellow flowers is at Christmastime

we do try but usually most of them are reds and whites so we have to try to order in advance this year we are thinking holly balls but with yellow ribbons and roses in them as well ^^

That would be a nice alternative. I've seen things like that here near to christmas too.

well you see we have a large family so sometimes fitting all the flowers on the allotted plot can be tricky ( my grandfather had 8 children who all have one or two children themselves now) so a holly ball but with added flowers hung up there will give a little more space for everyone else's flowers
