Description I was going to make a poster out of this like the "Final Battle" poster. I then realized that I prefer to do those without X's armor. Now I usually don't draw X in armor cause I prefer the no armor look, but after playing X3 again I figured I wanted to draw the awesome armor I remembered as a kid.

I have a few plans for an X3 poster but he will not be wearing the armor. I also decided to change up my style a bit by hand drawing the lines as opposed to Pen tool with simulated pressure. I felt that this made it look a bit more "Official" and natural rather than the lines from the pen tool.

EDIT: Just changed the logo to my new one.

Thanks!! My logo is on all my art .. I try to hide it so it doesn't take away from the drawing. Unfortunately I had a problem with someone stealing my art so I had to throw my logo on things as a watermark. I've got a whole line of stuff I'm (very very slowly) working on.

it actually doesnt have a name.. the bandai packaging called it max armor as in it was full armor.. its actaually just the 3rd armor.. thus the title .. i found this out just before i posted it case believe me .. it was originally posted as MAX armor XD

This is made of win! You took some defining aspects of the series and mashed up together, like the slender proportions and face from X8, the armor from X3 and finally the color scheme from Command Mission

Very nice! You have a pretty distinctive style. Solid celshaded colors plus varyingly thick lines that seem to "bleed" or glow. Looks awesome. Oh, and let's not forget how well draw this is.

i used pen tool at 1 pixel and then i lined the rest by hand to make em thicker in specific areas to add dynamic

no that was actually a filter, i duplicated the line layer and added gaussian blur i think at 2.5-3% id have to check the psd file to know exactly

Mega Man X's 3rd armor... it isn't like X or X2's armor but it has some interesting good things. For starters, you can air dash upwards, have a barrier that can protect you, built in map that tells you hidden locations when you start the stage and the ability to perform a cross-charge shot. Although what I also like about it is the fact that you can also gain enhancements that can boost things up such as a double air dash, health regeneration, hyper cannon and even a stronger barrier though I would prefer the Gold Armor which has everything.

I've gotten a lot of requests to do so but the only other armors id consider drawing are the first and second. MAYBE the GAEA ...maybe but also unlikely.
