Minor character in Missing Episodes, but she's pivitol in Kalinka's life. Her grandmother and Cossack's mother, Annina. Firm and very strict, she is nonetheless understanding and not without compassion.

I didn't want all of Kalinka's looks (hairstyle, eye color, etc.) to come from her mother (whom just is mentioned in a flashback and has little to no place in Kalinka's life as a whole), so I gave those two elements to Cossack's side while her hair color comes from her mother.

Of course, given that her mother's been dead since she was a year old, Babushka has served as 'mother' for the Russian girl. Unfortunately, she's getting up in her years and may not be around for much longer...
