There's always hope. Stranger things that had even less probability have succeeded. Doesn't mean it'll happen overnight, but there's always a chance.

Naw, I could never be one to boycott the whole company or anything. Honestly, if people haven't realized that Capcom has been doing stuff like this for years, they haven't been paying attention. I realize there are certain business aspects that caused them to take this action, and they are somewhat understandable. But still, the way many things were handled in the cancellation process still seemed very unprofessional to me. And the lack of openness as to why it was truly cancelled, and the varying excuses for things like UMvsC3 look rather foolhardy, too. But I wouldn't go through with constant name calling and profanity, since I know it would not serve any productive purpose.
...instead I'm apparently visually supporting animal abuse, just like Capcom of Japan did in the first game...
*Disclaimer* I am firmly against animal abuse in real life */disclaimer*

I can't boycott a company over a game. I never played a Legends game in my life and I am not much into Megaman anymore. However, alot of the really, really, really dedicated fans are making real fans look bad. Sure, I like Strider, I like 19XX, I also like alot oc Capcom's old arcade games like Varth, Forgotten Worlds and SideArms. People who also say they will Boycott Cappy's other games are si lly, because they will buy it later in the future, seeing UMvC3 don't come out in November and they will long forget their boycotting.
I like Megaman and all, but these... rabid fans really make real fans look bad as I said.
The kicking the dog thing made me laugh for some reason. XD
My only guess why it was cancelled was because of 3DS sales? I dunno. I wanna stay positive on this.

I'm sure 3DS sales were the major reason. Until there is a major push with Nintendo's big titles for the thing, of course sales will be weak. But I don't think the third party developers were expecting it to be this poor this early, considering Nintendo's track record. And it would be better for them to pull the game before they poured more money into it, than to go forward and lose money. So I get that. But it would be nice if they could come out and say it. Of course, that'd only hurt Nintendo even more, so probably a good reason why they are avoiding the subject.
At least, on the surface, that's what I'm reading into it.

Would it fare well if it was on PSN, WiiWare or Live? I still like Nintendo and all, but ever since they have lack of good thrid parties disappoints me. I won't count the countless shovelware you see on the DS or the Wii.
I still like Megaman and all, but not as much as I use to. At least I am trying to look on the greener pasture on this chaotic issue, rather than being negitive like alot of people. Some 23 year old friend of mine went on a rampage. That was freaky.

RockMiyabi In reply to GunSlingerDante [2011-07-27 00:21:14 +0000 UTC]
Hard to say, but I'm sure they'd have to redo a bit to fit the software of whatever other system they wanted to move it to. Hence, better to scrap it than redo it.
Yeah, quite a bit of DS/Wii stuff is garbage~y, especially DS shovelware. 20 different crossword/sudoku/Domo-kun/pet games at $5-$15 a pop. Meh.

I wonder if it was wise to cancel the game. Considering I had a bad feeling the game wasn't going to get off the ground well. I did buy a 3DS, but not for this game. Mario 3DS drew me in more.
Nintendo back in it's NES, SNES and 64 days didn't have so much Shovelware. The GameCube didn't, either. Wii also suffers alot of PS2 to Wii ports as well. Luckly, I do have Guilty Gear Accent Core and Plus on the Wii. Plus being an extreamly rare game and a hard to find one.

Yeah, same here. Not a super huge fan of Legends but would have loved a new one! Capcom only cancels the good games and keep up coming yearly the easily marketable ones...

RockMiyabi In reply to theEyZmaster [2011-07-25 21:31:13 +0000 UTC]
Easily marketable? More like easily-edited fighting game that's able to milk a new version of the original game, which was already a sequel in the first place. ;D
Also got the artjam plug into this description, as an FYI. Thanks for adding it into your collection.
