Commission for wesley-draws ! Couple of hooligans at the beach! It’s been a hot minute since I took a crack at some background work, aaand I kind of went ham on that part. I experimented a lot on this one, and also had a few happy accidents. I’m really happy with how it all came out though, particularly the water *v* and I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned here more and hopefully improving it!
This piece was pretty nostalgic for me though, some of you may know that bafooligan of a dragon is my boy Thurkear. The other two nerds here are his adopted family, as owned by my bestie Wes, and another friend of ours. We made them together aaalllll the way back in middle school, on a school trip to Washington state for whale watching. They ended up sticking with us, and they really represent an important time in our lives <3 so thank you to Wes for the commission and helping us pay for our wedding rings, and also for the patience while I played around with this. Really could not ask for a better opportunity than working with characters I love for paid work, seriously you rock <3
