Ahhh very nice, reminds me of SAR's crane tanks ironically enough which happened to the SAR's first steam locomotives, as they weren't that big of a tender engine at the time (a 2-4-0) and bigger classes of locomotive came along for mainline and branchline work. Instead of scrapping them they rebuilt them in the 1880s-1890s and they were shop switchers up until the late 20s. So the pioneering engines would of seen the super power arrival of the SARs 500s. So Stephon's Lion meeting a SP GS-4 you could say.

Neat! Are there any photos? And was the crane originally for unloading freight?

Working on the photo side of things and have not found any yet, I would assume the tank would have been in the railroad's shops, considering how big the shops were a crane tank would have been handy before it got modernized

Ah, fair enough. That gives me an idea for a Garry's Mod 1840s locomotive though
