Thanks loads!
It seems like a fun line to visit, with it climbing such a tall mountain.

My pleasure Rocky! Yes it's a thrilling ride but sometimes they have to stop part way up because of the weather.

Oh, I can definitely see weather playing into a trip like that, since there's no trees. Rumor has it that, back in the 1890s when the coaches only had curtains, a business came from reselling hats that'd been blown off the trains!

I can believe that! It's Wales of course, noted for its interesting weather!

I find it just awkward and not much an smart decision to just use a rack rail railway to do any Ivor the Engine events if it doesn't really match the traits and origin traits of the character. Yes the Snowdon Mountain Railway is resided in Wales, but it doesn't really match at all. Especially since these engines don't pull trains and just push their trains for better strength and stopping power. Fooling children and parents just to 'improvise' doesn't necessary have to be like this all the time for railways like that, if there are health and safety issues involved.

The reason for the event was because they had built a new building specifically for showcasing Postgate's work.
And to your point about pushing, while that is correct, Ivor doesn't pull things very often in the series.

I remember back when they made those TTTE trading cards for the Mountain Engines including Wyddfa's counterpart, Wilfred. Said trading card called him the "musical engine" in his bio, and I wonder if you could spin that character trait into something similar to your depiction of Wyddfa. I love the idea of a flighty, musical theatre type of character who tries to "sing" with his whistle or something like that.

Oh, yes, I've seen those. Well, of course she tries to sing with her whistle at times, seeing as she's dressed up as Ivor the Engine.
Wyddfa, in my interpretation, has an extreme fear of heights, tries to speak to animals, pretended to be male during the line's construction, and complains about the wind whenever her cab is open.

Other engine: "does this mean you'll only speak in whistles?"
