Description Would you watch?
Just a quick sketch I made for the movie poster design competition held by and (Yes it's quick, you can tell by the rushed and messy lineart.) Unfortunately a slowpoke, me that is, heard about it only a couple of days before the deadline, so don't be surprised by all the triviality it's made of. The idea of DS the movie has been circulating among the fans since the fandom was born actually, so I couldn't help entering. Hors concours, though. I'm not chasing the reward in this case. This game is a GREAT template for a movie.

I guess with enough financial support Klei would give it a try, they have total masters of animation like Jeff Agala and promising young artists like Kelly Graham\Alex Savin up their sleeve money is the matter, as usual.

OMFG. When I saw this I had a fangirl attack right then and there.This needs to be made into a movie ASAP.Pronto.Right now.Any other ways you can think of that mean with in the next 13 seconds.Also how in the world is this rushed,I couldn't do something this good if I had a decade. Thanks! I normally apply the term 'rushed' to whatever took less than ETERNITY to make, haha however, original DS visuals are made to look rushed and sloppy, so probably there's actually nothing to worry about. I wish they'd launch a movie or at least short series, I'd happily donate a few bucks to the project or even volunteer as an artist. Why the hell not!

I guess we'll have to launch a yet another Kickstarter project to get it funded. I guess, however, funding wouldn't be much a problem, since the number of DST beta participants hit 80,000 in less than 24 hours. Actual numbers are much, much greater than that. If all these people chip in at least $5--- oh, the optimistic me.

It was a single take drawing with no edits (there simply wasn't enough time for that), so pretty much whatever odd thing in this picture you see is unintended.

THIS was my top favourit of all the drawings. I love the colors you chose, just using the blue tone fits it so well. the composition of the whole poster is perfect as well and really makes me wish this was an actual movie haha

I can understand that you didn't want to join the contest but you would deffinately have won it hands down. HUGE thank you for making this, it's gorgeous. <3

Yeah, judging by the public reaction I probably should have joined the competition but my interest revolves around the idea, not the prizes. I mean, Don't Starve the movie, how cool is that?
And I must thank you too, by the way. My journey to the DS fandom began with your artworks, you were the inspiration and the one who revealed Wilson's sexy side for me

This is rushed? How is this rushed? This looks awesome (certainly blew mine out of the water, natch ). The narrow color palette really works here, as does the composition...even the scratchy art style--it fits right into the game. And I love how those trees loom so menacingly overhead...and you've captured the personalities of the different characters, I think.
Good music, by the way.

Thanks could have done better though. I like that it looks somewhat grungy, but the anatomy >_< is the part I will not forgive myself.
