Bah. Inspired by another line from the same song that the title came from ... only I didn't want to use that as the title, as "don't fall asleep or we'll mutilate your genitals" probably isn't always all that inviting.Azriel and his rabie-hair! :3 Except less rabid. But the original has sparkles!! And silver ink, which didn't scan at all, anywhere. This was just really a sketch idea that came into my head last night when I couldn't sleep (note: at 3am), but unlike most of the rest, I liked it, so it had to be finished today. *nod*. I'm going to use this (muchly edited) for my new website layout, methinks.
About 5 hours, ink, markers, watercolour, random other inks and sparkly-stuff. <3 (Please excuse the crumples: seeing as i thought it'd only be a sketch, I did it on printer paper! >.< I'll try and flatten it out to scan it better ... until then, here we go.)
PS, I want a gasmask plz. :<

The top hair looks kind of funky, but that doesn't really matter, as I didn't notice it until I stared at all the pretty colors for a long time. The picture being upside-down probably doesn't help with looking at its upturned perspectives very much, either.
But anyway, I love the coloring for this. The pose and the title seem very symbolic, and makes me want to know more. I love pictures that allure me into wanting to know more about the character. This is a very interesting design.
Love the eyes. And the hands. I wish I could draw hands. Wah.

The paper became over wrinkly though from...water colors? Yes! Water colors!
Word of advice- tape it down- if yourself a half inch of just tape and stretch it- like a painter stretches a canvas!
