for some reason that movie gave me nightmares when I saw it, I think it was the Gorilla men/aliens

Yeah, but they only feature for three scenes... The ass-spider was the real attraction.

Rayn-Hammer In reply to SpitVenom [2010-01-13 05:16:45 +0000 UTC]

This is true, some of those critters really were cool if not realistic.

SpitVenom In reply to Rayn-Hammer [2010-01-13 06:38:54 +0000 UTC]

Oh, and not to mention the backwards-forwards walking ant eater-type slinky critter. It needed more screen time that one...

It was realistic in it's own sense. The biological life existed by its own fast-paced logic. The only issue I had was that it was all a bit too colourful. Life on earth can be very vividly coloured, but usually it's for a purpose. Almost everything in Evolution was neon or highly patterned.

Hah, that reminds me. Online there was posted a News article that people who watched Avatar became depressed or suicidal. A bit far fetched, but they detailed how people felt down after considering the intangable world of Pandora - how they'll never see the likes of it, nor the link between people and nature.

I have to say that although Avatar was incredibly vivid in colour it's actually very bland until the bioluminecence is active during nightfall. It's bioluminecent because the plant life have an electronic network with eachother and so on.

This comment is getting too long... Reason gets realism... There... I said it...

Well it was made for entertainment more than feasibility. Bright colors attract viewers. Humans are very visual.

I know about that article, it's become a funny talking point among my friends and I. We find it sad, because we see so much beauty everyday just around our homes.

SpitVenom In reply to Rayn-Hammer [2010-01-13 08:14:45 +0000 UTC]

True and true.

I just found it arguable because one of the points was people wanting to experience a link between them and nature. What people have to realise is that we are animals. It's not like we're an existencial class all our own. We are to "Nature" as every other animal is, without considering our actions.

And thanks for looking at my gallery

I have no idea who Tony DiTerlizzi is, but I will most surely look...

Rayn-Hammer In reply to SpitVenom [2010-01-13 16:57:21 +0000 UTC]

People just need to realize that beauty is all around us and if they still don't see it, then they have to go out and fix that by working to bring the environment back to snuff.

Also, your very welcome!
