This is a picture of Princess Daisy, as many Nintendo fans will see.

Princess Daisy is the princess of Sarasaland, who first appeared in the game Super Mario Land. Though she rules this place, she lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. That's right. She doesn't even live in the kingdom she rules. This may be due to the fact that Sarasaland is a damned desert.

She appears in many games, mostly in Mario Party, sport, and racing games where there are loads of characters to choose from. Whether or not she'll be in actual adventure games again is up in the air.

She is a Tomboy, designed to contrast Princess Peach's mega girliness and also designed to be pidgeonholed into being Luigi's (maybe maybe not) love interest. Personally I don't particularily like the pairing as I see Luigi's getting gayer and gayer with each mario game he appears in. It would be so hot nice if Luigi turned out to be gay, but that'll never happen due to image things and Nintendo being a fun, 'family-friendly' franchise.

Relationship to Gary: Daisy and Gary are friends, or at least appear to be at least polite with one another. The two characters hadn't said much or interacted with one another since Mario Kart Double Dash Deluxe and the Harvest Festival before that. It may be said that Gary can find Daisy annoying at times, and gets flustered when Daisy jokes and flirts with him.
