Description
The night before the opening ceremony of the Mario Kart Double Dash Deluxe Grand Prix, Stanley and Gary were enjoying the evening together at Shooting Star Summit when they noticed a shooting star heading downwards to the gateway to Star Haven.

Gary and Stanley decide to check it out warily. Gary knew that a messenger from star haven may have arrived with an assignment for him to do but hoped not. He didn't want anything to get in the way of the Mario Kart Grand Prix in which he entered with Stanley.

When they arrived on the scene, they gaped in the majesty of Rosalina herself. Gary felt fear as well as curiousity as she only ever decended to Mushroom World if something big was happening. She greeted Gary and told him that she was entering the Mario Kart Grand Prix and that she wanted him to be his partner.

This wasn't an assignment from the stars, it was worse. This meant that Gary would have to abandon Stan as a partner and join Rosalina instead. Stanley protested and the two eventually got into a nastier and nastier argument, with poor Gary in the middle.

Twink calmed everyone down and stopped the fighting. He offered the solution that if he found Rosalina a nicer partner, she could let Gary race with Stan. Rosalina reluctantly accepted, doubtful but curious to what Twink's plan would be.
