It's been a long time since a proper update, but it's been even longer since I drew one of my old favourite OCs: Adrienne Catelein from my series Dark Ascendant. With the patronage of ancient gods, she has become a pawn in their games on earth, hunting down rejected gods and demons alike.I've been juggling between digital and traditional these past months, but it felt good to get some practice with pen, ink and watercolour.

Definitely one of my most favorite of yours yet. Your details with some of this more realistic stuff, like the skull, make the anime aspects really stand out as simplified. It creates a unique contrast in this particular piece. I don't think I would like it in general, but it works for this. Also, I'm seeing improvements in your overall consistency with proportions.

Thank you, I really appreciate that ^^ I agree that the skeleton was a bit of a gamble, and I didn't originally intend it to be so detailed (as I was inking I just couldn't stop xD;;;; ). Towards the end I decided to take this in a different direction; being inspired by old master drawings, I wanted to give it the look of an old etching that was coming to life ^^

Thank you!! This one went through several different ideas, but I got inspired by some etchings I saw last week. That's when I decided to go for the full sepia look with the demons and gods at the back ^^
I'm hoping that I can do more with Adrienne, but this feels like one of my best of her yet xD
