My friends doesn't consider Mononoke TV (2007) as a good anime, but I still love it's colours and techniques. I love to rewatch this anime from time to time (including the last three episodes on Ayakashi Samurai Horror Stories), It's a true piece of art

Oh wow, this is beautiful! And I'm sad to hear that your friends didn't think this was a good anime, because honestly, I loved the animation, the story, and the characters. I thought the techniques the animators used (the different angles), the sounds and how they were used to create tension (not to mention, the neat trick with sounds coming from different headphones), and of course the symbolic imagery was honestly very unique. It's what made me love this series. Not to mention, I freaking love surrealism and horror, and when both are done well, I get incredibly excited. I felt that I could easily understand the story (after the second watching for some episodes, however), and felt like this was one of the smartest animes I've watched. I mean, I've seen other very clever animes, but I just really enjoyed this one, and it's definitely towards the top of my list.

To be honest, Mononoke fanart is more colourful than the anime. (But still, if you survive the first 2 series, you'll surely be impressed by it's entourages :3 )
