Perspective photography may take time to master, but in time the effect it achieves can't be questioned. Case in point, "Down the tracks."
Not only is the perspective wonderful, but the border effect with the lush greenery of nature meeting the antiquated remnants of the world of man is very palpable and works to a subtle yet profound effect.
The passive skyscape also adds to the calming, soothing effect of the piece.
Of points to critique, the angle might be a little higher, as the silver of the track dominates the frame just a little too much.
Other than that, the piece is very pretty and definitely worthy of praise.

Very fair, and In reexamination, you are correct. I would say there is too much of the track, and a higher angle would have helped with that as well.

I really like everything about this shot except for the pink power box. I think you could have went a bit further up the track to remove it from the shot. I find my eye competing on whether to go up the track as I think you intended and looking at the power box that leads your eye out of the photograph.

I was actually using it to not only balance the shot a little, but to also add a different color than the green that was all around.
Though I do see what you are saying, especially with the angle of the box, it does lead your eye off frame, and I can see how it would be distracting.

slightly safer than getting shots of drag racers from the middle of the finish line, but not near as exciting.
