FULL VIEW FOR AWESOMENESSHUGE FILE. Took FOREVER to upload and stuff. xD
Anywhos, IT'S ENTEI! I got the idea from my friend Phoe, 'cause I believe it was her who was Roleplaying this particular legendary dog the other day (she's amazing, by the way.) Yes, I realize it's not the most incredible thing I've ever drawn, but that's mainly because I tried a few new things...
First of all, I actually made me own background! Found a wonderful little fire tutorial here on DA, so that was nice. :3 YESH, WE HAVE FIRE. MWAHAHAHAHA!
Secondly, I did the outline in Photoshop, and not with a black gel pen like I usually do. I kinda like how it turned out, but there's a few spots that didn't turn out so hot.
Thirdly, it's my first time drawing a canine. I think our Entei here turned out pretty well... 'Cept for the paws...
Oh well. Practice will make perfect! I'm actually pretty proud of how he turned out.
Don't be surprised if you see this same Entei in a future Deviation!

- Outline with pen
- Scan into Photoshop
- Coloured outline on a new PS layer
- Flat colour and shading underneath
- Airbrush and smudge tool with various shades of red and yellow for the flames

I understand your problems with paws. It took me ages to get paws right. The only thing is, I've been drawing canines since I was four, and have had LOTS of practice. But that means I can definitely tell you that practice will give you the ability to draw said paws.
Anyhow, I think if you added a glow to the sparks, it'd be really neat. I liek stuff shineh!

I really like both Entei and Suicune. |3 And Raikou makes me lol because his face is funny. o3o
I never draw animals. Except for Pokeymanz. But even Mewtwo is more humanoid in his figure than most of the others (which is why he gets drawn the most xD). I draw HOOMAHNS because I can use myself as a reference. xP That's why my gallery is littered with Star Trek characters, the three guys from Rush, and other random OCs and such.
You draw those, uh, Sonic (I think?) characters really well. I never got into it but I can appreciate your artistry. Those PokΓ©mon battle sketches are really neat too. o3o

I like Raikou's pompom tail.
I can't draw humans... at all. o_o I try so very hard, but I can't get the faces right. Everything else is pretty simple (since I practiced with Sonic characters so much) but I canNOT get those facial features right to save my neck.
Yup, they're Sonic characters.
I don't edit from the critiques I get, either. I just remember to fix it in future pictures. Hehe. *lazy*

And the paws, I understand, I don't get why they're always the hardest to draw D; In the end I just draw blobs on their feet
