You really should leave the city more often. There is nothing more awe-inspiring than nature. As humans we seem to try an distance ourselves from nature, which is absurd.
We appear to be chasing some higher state of spirituality and are pursuing it through art. Although we have somehow neglected to remember that art was born through nature.
I've never seen a film, or read a book, or heard a song, or seen a painting that has taken my breath away in the way that the natural world can.
You should go north of the border. Scotland is rather scenic and an ideal stomping ground for a photographer.

My home joins onto woods, no i don't live in a cabin, and i have to take my cat walks down the woods. I love it. Especially at night when it's dark. I love the adrenaline rush of being in dark woods and forests. However, for scenic photos darkness is not so great.
