Love the technique.
Just remember that horses have more oval-shaped pupils than round ones. If you're going for realism, that is.

Here is what've I've managed to do [first attempt ever at eye][link] Very small picture, almost pitifully. But that's what I get my scaling my images too much XD. Not that great either, but I'm shamelessly proud of myself xP. Thanks once again, and hope it doesn't scare you with it horribleness x3.
