So a friend, had this idea... Since I had made the X-men watching their third movie [link] and discussing it... it would be fun to also make one for the X-men Origins: Wolverine movie... And voila! You have Xavier, Logan, Remy, Wade and Scott watching the Origins movie and expressing their feelings outloud!
I think Deadpool took it harder than the others... But can you blame him?

Fox really wanted to do the Mariko arc but were told that they needed to show ALL of Logan's origins so they just rushed it. They didn't really want to do this part of Logan's story. One of the things that made me the most angry was Gambits eyes. They were red for about two seconds.

Agree on the claims here. Think the movie was good up to a certain point. Then absolutely nothing made sence! Deadpool's striker's son, They make him into a living Frankenstein monster that's nothing like the original, Charles Xavier walks, Gambit didn't fight on the last battle and striker just walked away at the end after erasing Wolverine's memories... THE. FUCK?! At least the actor that played Wilson wasn't too bad... when he talked...

i get that a lot of people hate him because of the yellow boxes and pool o vision and stuff, but a lot of people like it, i understand they're agruement but i still like daniel way's deadpool series and im going to get his new thunderbolts series, i dont really care who writes it if its got punisher and deadpool

If that person Lauren is the reason why not a single drop of blood wasn't shown in the movie, then hell yeah, Wade's gonna shoot Lauren too! It seemed ridiculous, when Logan stubbed his claws at someone and then he pulled them off all clear and shiny! As if he had a Cleanex or Azax in his pocket...

Of course Sabretooth wasn't upset. He was the only decent thing about that whole movie. Until he started "running" on all fours.
The sooner 20th Century Fox loses the X-Men license to Marvel Films the better. I'm totally sick of them ruining my favorite heroes!

I hope that Marvel Studios can get back the rights of all characters Fox and Sony own... If they wanna make a Civil War movie Marvel needs Spiderman and the F4 and other characters that Fox owns...

Unfortunately, it's all in Fox and Sony's court. As long as they keep making movies, they have the rights. So you know what that means. More and more and more shoddy, half-assed X-Men movies that have nothing in common with the X-Men we all love.
At least Sony's doing pretty well by Amazing Spider-Man.

See, the Wolvie Sabretooth being brothers didn't piss me off in the slightest. In the comic that the movie (the first scene, at least) was supposed to be based off of, The Gardener (Thomas Logan in comics, Victor's dad in movie) looked exactly like Wolverine but with a few fewer teeth and pretty consistently drunk and belligerent. Gardiner's legitimate son, whom he abuses often, was only called by his nickname: 'Dog' or 'Dawg' and in most instances is shown as blonde (with the exception of a few panels) and a few years older than James/Logan. Years later, Logan's grandpa is dying and sends Dog out to find his only living relative (Yeah, they don't do it in the movie but the mother kills herself). When Dog goes on the hunt, he dons very sabertooth-esque mismatched furs and basically goes on a killing spree on his way to find Logan. He finds Logan, and, with fangs and claws visible, attacks him much like sabretooth would. Plus, I always thought Sabes and Wolvie fought like siblings whose parents never taught them to play nice.
I also don't mind that Emma frost wasn't drop-dead gorgeous. She was, afterall, supposed to be young, late teens maybe, and stuck in a cell or God knows how long. Also didn't mind the bit about Scott since I don't like him.
No, the thing(s) that pissed me off the most were:
1. Aforementioned deadpool thing.
2. Aforementioned Remy thing.
3. COMPLETE AND UTTER LACK OF ROSE! Rose was supposed to be the Irish girl about dog's age who Logan grew up with that explained his obsession with redheads.
4. The one that sends me into a fit of uncontrollable rage- THE WAY THEY SH** ON THE 'WTF JAMES HAS CLAWS OMG!1!!' SCENE. There was no excuse for how awkward and horrible that was. Plus his mother didn't go crazy throw crap at him.

I am aware of the Wolverine: Origins comics and the whole Rose/Dog/James thing. It was such a shame of the writers and FOX itself that they didn't show anything about Wolverine's true story behind all these. Rose (like you already said) played a major role in Wolverine's life, so she should be at least shown when he was young! But no, the writers wanted to pass his childhood quickly so that they show him in his elder form with his fighting/oh-so-bad-ass skills and all...
I got that they kinda replaced dog with Victor, but even if they fight like brothers, it makes some difference and changes stuff about Wolverine's life. :-/

And I totally agree with you for the 3rd and 4rth reasons. And that scene was pretty poor written...
I also got annoyed by the fact that the movie wasn't R-rated.. Wolverine needs an R-rated movie if one is to be made. I mean, they showed him stubbing people and then taking out his claws all clean and shiny as if he had some azax or cleanex in his pocket...
I really want the new movie "Wolverine" they want to make, to be more faithfull to the comics and better written. They say it will show him in Japan... So I guess we'll see the Mariko arc or the Itsu arc.

I think the biggest problem there was how they tried to put both his childhood and (a very toned-down, not nearly as traumatizing as it should have been) Weapon X in the same movie. The comics never attempted that, not by a long shot. They spent more than 1 1/2 issues just explaining his early family life BEFORE they showed him having claws. Since Origin was a six-issue limited, it sounds reasonable that they could have had THAT as a movie and Had the weapon X thing as another. I would totally see both of those.
About his baddassery, the war montage was probably my favorite part, although victor sharpening his claws in the very beginning was probably a close second (very close with the "Do you even know how to kill me?" "I'm just gonna cut off your gd head, see if that works" part).
They did a better job at making Emma that telepathic ho we all love to hate in First Class.

I think one of the (albiet minor) pluses that Origins had was the fact that they ACTUALLY had someone point out how short Logan's s'posed to be. EVERYONE, with the possible exception of Kitty, was supposed to be noticeably taller than him. Heck, I'M taller than the guy!
*fangirl squee* DAKEN! Daken needs to be mentioned! At least as a cameo in momma's belly.
Although, they could screw it up like the Wolverine anime on G4... *shudders*

I totally agree with you on making first a movie about his childhood and his early years as an adult and not instantly boom-he is now a grown up-and-no-we're-not-gonna-tell-you-where-they-were-hiding-the-whole-time-'till-that-war-moment (which I agree it was pretty awesome

Well Hugh Jackman is a bit tall for Logan and kinda "thin" (for the Wolverine standards). However we have to understand that Wolverine's character was created a long time ago when the over-muscled guy with that heigh didn't seem that odd in a comic book.. I think that Logan's comic-art has changed since then. Most of the artists gave him a few inches and made him look more normal-muscled... As for me, whatever the size, Wolverine is still awesome!
I'd like to see the Itsu arc too but how can they make it when Winter Soldier's character belongs to another movie-company? :-/

I tried to do a fic explaining where they went after leaving the house, and the best thing I could come up with was they found a mostly-intact abandoned house somewhere to stay for a while.
I honestly can't remember how he was supposed to get roped into all that. I regretfully haven't gotten a hold of those comics.

Oh well, I do like Hugh's portrayal of him whether they make him shorter than me or not.
Another company owns it? NUUUU! Maybe they could buy that character's rights? /IDK haven't seen Captain America yet.
