I was watching a video review the other day of the "Adventure Time" comics, and one part that caught my interest was how in the comics they will have shorter stories in it that are drawn by other artist in their own styles. that got me thinking about what Finn might look like in my style.
there was a time I didn't really like the show, mostly due to its annoying ad campaign before the show started, buts its grown on me and there are some very cool visual moments in the show, but there are times I don't really care for, so its a mixed bag.

Very much love this piece I love the shading and the small details like tiny scratches and the bit on his shirt and the bunny thing ect.
It looks less Cartoonish and more serious i would love to see Jake aswell.
I suck at making reviews/stuff like that but what im really saying is that this is amazing! you should also do Star and Marco from Star VS The Forces of Evil.
I really love you're work don't stop making art and fun fact of the day Bae means poop in Danish i think.

It's nice to see other people's take on a popular character. The Shading work and design of the artwork is less of a childish and "shota" look of Finn to more of a hero, ruff and tumble look!
In all the, way you made his clothes is cool as well as, the design of the blood sword. The additional patch (the bunny thing) is a good touch! the scares and torn rapping add a more of a danger look.
On to something i would have wanted to see. Althought it would have tooken longer to make a full body, it would have been nice to see what you could have done with the rest of Finn.

I just don't think Adventure time works with a complex aesthetic as this. Part of the show's charm is the extremely simplistic character designs.

I've watched every episode, think that indicates what I think of Adventure Time.
As for the picture... I dunno. Bit too far of a departure as far as the actual design goes. By that I mean the two colours for the shirt, the shorts being denim, and the belt. Not bad, I'll never say that, but I didn't know it was Finn at first glance.

...no I'm not. Rongs wanted to draw Finn in his own style. and I personally think Rongs's style looks much, MUCH better than the style they use in the show.

If Pen Ward wanted to use an anime-inspired style for the show, then he would've, but he didn't because it didn't suit his purposes. It's unfair to compare the two, and ultimately bag on Pen's artistic choices, based purely on the visuals.

it's a cartoon, a VISUAL medium, of course my opinion of it is going to be somewhat based on what it looks like. I'm not saying it's a bad show, I've heard some very interesting things about the plot, but I haven't watched yet it because I really don't care for it's art style. if it had a different art style, then I'd probably watch it. but it doesn't, so I haven't. all I said was that I prefer this art style to the one on the show. I'm expressing my opinion. that's it.

I have a free will and I can think whatever I want about an artistic style. I don't like the artistic style of Adventure Time and I think it would look better if it had a different one. I'm not demanding that they change it, I'm just saying that if, hypothetically, they had a different art style, I would like that more. I would personally prefer that.

If there's one thing I'll defend it's a creator's right to do what they want with their works. Would you tell rongs here that his pictures "should" look completely different to how he wants them to?
