Sorry for the silly question. Do you use the pen tool for your lines? They are so perfect, just wondering.

This one is kind of old, and my art process has evolved since then. I use Paint Tool Sai, and I think I just did the lines really quickly. I might have bumped up the stabilizer, but I don't recall.Β
Now, I keep the stabilizer very low, and I just sketch and erase away stuff to form the lines. It's kind of a "line sculpting" technique.Β

Thank you! You just gotta put in the mileage, friend. I draw at least 8 hours a day, which is the reason why I have improved so much over the last 2 years. But even an hour a day will do a lot for you. Oh, and study reference photos from real life. That's a huge contributor to my success, even though I draw mostly cartoon stuff. It's good to have an understanding of what something looks like in the real world, before you decide to stylize it as a cartoon/anime or whatever.
