Yes, he certainly is. Because of their rabbit-like stand away fur, I often call him my bunny love. He loves to play but does so most gently.

I wish my cat was that affectionate. She does like to nuzzle, but she hates to be hugged or have her tummy rubbed.

He doesn't like to be held but for a minute or two and isn't a lap sitter although he will sit beside me on the couch but he just LOVES to have his tummy rubbed and I just LOVE playing with the soft tummy fur. He's into head butting and body slamming and often lies on the floor next to the couch so I can pat and scratch him, just doesn't like to be contained or restrained. He's also big on playing tag. His invitation is to thrill at me and puff up like a halloween cat and siddle towards me or to attack me when I'm walking somewhere with a quick leg wrap. That means I'm to chase him. At the other end of the house, he usually flops on the floor belly up for a good rub or goes behind the stove or fireplace which means I'm to leave because I "can't find him". Out he rushes to tag me while I'm going whichever way down the hall. Then I am to chase him again.

Yes, I agree. I find it very interesting that cats are so willing to invent games that include us in them although they have some quirky rules.

Oh, OK. I, personally, just love emoticons. I think they add part of the emotional content that writing leaves out unlike spoken language. In my books, one can never have too many emotes.
