Very beautiful sunset picture. There were a few here that I would have loved to take, but don't have my digi came right now.

Not really, 5tick, we had glorious sunsets long before pollution due to both the clouds and altitude as well as southern latitude. We owe more to blowing dust than pollution. On a bad day, our visibility is 10 miles unless we are in an active sandstorm when it can be zero. Just took a sunset the other night which is blurry or at least not crisp due to the blowing dust but the colors are great.

That's OK, 6tock, It simply isn't true in certain areas as there have always been, well, at least since cameras, spectacular sunsets. I have ones from this area and north of us about 100 mi. from the 40s that my grandmother took but they are mostly slides or parts of home movies. Both she and my grandfather were real shutterbugs even if only family or trips. My 1st camera was his Kodak 35 with the Anaster lens which I still have. Most of our alerts are pollen, dust, fungus, and sometimes smoke levels. Our biggest pollution levels come from overgrazing the land because of the dust or smoke from the forest and/or brush fires. We are the 2nd most lightning struck area in the US after Florida. Both dust and smoke make fairly distinctive types of sunsets.
I live in the eastern part of Sonoran desert, but not Phoenix which has fairly severe pollution, or smust as they call the combo of smoke and dust, rather than smog, smoke and fog.
Just goes to show you that you can't always trust what you are told especially if there is a hidden agenda.

Wow... the most I know about my area is that spending the whole day within the city centre is like smoking 5 strong cigarettes...=/
But thats good to hear that you enjoy continuing their legacy. My father used to photograph so much and all the photos that I've seen have been truely spectacular.
But yeah as much as I agree about the lack of credence people deserve... you cannot go over board because you just become paranoid. But most people do lie which isn't great but I guess that it makes the people who don't better people to know..?

Well yeah definitely, althought some pollution is a result of humans intervention, sadly from what I know the majority of it... and to me its not good in the slightest however industry is by far a dreadful affliction. Althought the whole mother gaia thing probably isn't true I still feel like the planet should be treated that way because theres nothing worse than the thought that the future world and our future decendants will be living in a world stricken of vegetation and stifled by pollution and global warming etc.
If only the Kyoto agreement passed hey?
