A forest in the petrification process, still a swamp and slowly drowning...

It has nice depth with values and saturation, and I like the colours. The composition is quite static though. Not necessarily a bad thing, it does give a feeling of stillness and silence, witch is fitting for a gloomy petrified forest Those white squiggly reflections on the water are a bit distracting too, especially if you're going for the stillness.

thank you for the detailed comment! I wanted to give it stillness and a sense of lifelessness, but I am not quite good enough with color to paint still water, so I was trying to at least make it look like water

No problem. If the water is still, then it would be like a mirror but darker. Or something, I don't know, Im bad at painting water

I've read some tutorials for still-water painting but never found them as easy or quick to follow. This one for water ripples was really quick, so I was able to use it in the speed paint.
