Never played Patapon (saw some screens), but -
Hahah, wonderfull! Horray for abstraction. ^_^
I can recognize everyone!

From left to right -
Blaze with a sceptre, Tails, Vector (lol ), Cream (and Cheese is up there too Xp) - even Mighty the Armadillo! - Shadow in typical red/black (he even has that ring that limits his powers!), Silver using telekinesis, with Sonic spindashing above (and an implied super-sonic-transformation), Knuckles with his trademark fists of fury, and Amy, complete with hammer. And invisible Espio.
The three characters in the air I didn't mention yet are Rouge (heh, eye-makeup! and a lil' heart, that fits Rouge), Ray the Flying Squirrel, and, the one I was taking the longest to figure out, Charmy. (First thought that was a Pokémon, lol: [link] )

And they're all fighting against their common enemy: A giant blind and deaf cow-vampire-blob.
It has huge nostrils where you'd expect the eyes, so it must be blind. And I'm not seeing any ears, so it's deaf.
And look at those fangs! And it's skin is all black and white, so strongly reminds me of a cow. I mean... what else would it possibly be?

What I'm not so sure about are the animals in the top right corner, I'm guessing they're the typical critters to be found inside robots.
I'm seeing Playstation-buttons under the "hedgie" and "Son", don't know if they have any specifc meaning.
The arrows pointing from Shadow to the foe could possibly be his Chaos Spear, not sure.

If there's any other detail I am amiss, please do tell!
