||[ Apparently DA has a text limit for image descriptions and I didn’t know this, so I originally had a MUCH longer and much more detailed application for Amalia written out.
For those interested in reading that application, you can find it [ HERE ].
I will go out of my way to update both this application and the detailed one when needed. ]||

[ Amalia’s Reference Sheet ]

Taken Name: Amalia
Behind the Name: Old Draconic; Meaning 'Work of The Chronicler'.

    Kroquis originally suggested this name, hypothesizing that she was of Artisan nobility. It was the name of a famous Artisan painter because of her artistic looking egg. Previously, her birth name was Heartheira, but she legally had it changed due to pronunciation issues.

Gender Identity: Feminine
Pronouns: She / Her
Romantic Orientation: Demiromantic / Demisexual - Dating Grey

Born Element: Fire
Awakened Element: Spirit
Species: Ven Weaver (Venator x Dream Weaver)
Height: Unusually Small (Venator Height)
Character Type: Primary Character

Temperament:

    Speaks very softly and struggles to raise her voice. Very anxiety prone. Frequently stutters when speaking and actively avoids social engagement when possible. Keeps her head lowered and panics when involved in any sort of confrontation.

Personality:

    Very shy, uneasy, nervous, and timid. Tends to be very quiet and prefers not to speak. Is very emotional and vulnerable. Is often described as meek, soft, sensitive, and easy to manipulate; even cowardly at times.

Neurotype:

    Neurodivergent; minor Stranger Anxiety, Aerophobia and Agoraphobia. Social Anxiety and Generalized Anxiety symptoms. Recently started experiencing an Identity Crisis due to learning she’s half Venator instead of half Artisan.

Disabilities:

    Larger than average wings; tend to slow her down. Thin membranes; harder to heal and more prone to infection. Soft scales; more susceptible to wounds. Vampire eyes; her eyes struggle to dilate and contract properly which causes photosensitivity that can be uncomfortable and/or painful.

Extra Info:

    - For years Amalia was made to believe that she simply had stiff Artisan fins, when in reality these ‘fins’ are paper thin Venator spikes and body blades; upon further inspection, her body blades behave like very thin obsidian.

    - Amalia’s subtler Venator traits were overlooked as a Juvenile due to the variations in which dragon traits such as Artisan traits can present.

    - Just before Amalia left the academy after her graduation, Charredan and Kroquis informed her of her possible origins; of her potentially being from a clan of nobility known as the ‘Hearthfire Clan.’ Because of this, Amalia had hopes of finding a family. However things didn't pan out favorably and instead became a source of pain for her, especially when learning she was never of Artisan heritage in the first place during her Awakening Ritual.

    - During her years as a Whelp, Amalia came across a particular dragonfly in Ignurris that seemed very attached to her named Searana that became her pet.

    -  Amalia and her mentors discovered that she had quite a consummate well of arcane energy and a knack for manifesting it. Amalia has two extra manifests that she can wield because of this. However, her Spirit manifests have underdeveloped drawbacks. The dream Weaver abilities she can use are levitation and telepathic communication. She uses the former for writing and meditation and the latter for private conversations.

    - Amalia’s calls are mostly Dream Weaver-like chuffs, bugles, and loud cassowary-like ‘booms’. Hers tend to carry on longer in a more ethereal manner, almost like singing a song. Her calls, cries and roars are not very intimidating which embarrasses her.

    - Like her eggshell, the black scales on her body are glossy and iridescent, while her base colored scales and spots are matte.

Life before the Academy:

    Amalia’s egg originally came from Plavitatis; handed over to an academy agent from an anonymous source who looked as if they were in a rush to leave the city. It was wrapped up in a very pricey and fancy, noble looking shawl.

Life at the Academy:

    Amalia lived a lonely childhood when it came to connecting with peers thanks to her mental health, only being able to bond with her Keeper. As much as he encouraged her to socialize, she found it too overwhelming.

Witnessing an accident befall a whelp where they fell from a large height traumatized Amalia early in her juvenile years and she developed her aerophobia because of it.

Her isolation gave her plenty of time to indulge in solitary hobbies like reading fantasy books; they were her window to the world. As time went on, Charredan volunteered her for many classes to try and help her have corrective experiences. She only took to and stuck with some classes as others tended to overwhelm her. She loved spending time in Ignurris’s nursery with the whelps as she found them easier to socialize with and care for.

Towards the latter of her years Amalia was caught in the crossfire of an incident with another Ward that severely injured several other juveniles, thankfully. Although she suffered many broken bones and injuries- physically, she made a full recovery.

Life after the Academy:

    When she graduated, her keeper provided her with all the information he had about her heritage when she showed interest in potentially finding her family and learning her culture, with hope she would be accepted despite being a hybrid.

Her search led her back to Plavitatis, where she believed she’d found her father. Unfortunately, he rejected her cruelly, breaking her heart. Searching for her mother unfortunately turned up no substantial leads and more than a couple of dead ends.

In her dreams, she maintained contact with her academy sweetheart, Grey, not certain whether it was him or a conjured recurrent dream as a coping mechanism, and it was mutual for him. Still, it provided much needed comfort to confide in him for support.

The wind left her sails regarding locating her mother, so she broke off this path and sought the Guardians of the realm for guidance. Happening across Frostasia in the temple as well as bonding with Terrador was a welcome experience that lifted Amalia’s spirits, the latter even gifting her a special cloak.

She traveled Lignaridisi searching for somewhere to belong and call home, but still nowhere seemed to fit right. And she felt it was time to continue her search for her mother in Intomnia.

She would never make it there however, as circumstances found her protecting a clutch of abandoned eggs she found in an empty home just outside of Ad Rura. And she would end up fighting for their lives when the father came along intending to destroy the eggs no matter who opposed him.

While she won the fight and saved the eggs, she was gravely wounded, and it was the chance appearance of Grey, who had become an agent to collect eggs for the Academy that potentially saved her life. Amalia returned to the Academy with him to undergo the same initiation he had to become a Neophyte.

It was during this ritual, that her world would be turned upside down on the discovery she had no Artisan blood at all, she was half Venator all this time.

Relationship with Mentors:

    Charredan;

    Amalia still loves Charredan dearly to this day, and still sees him as her father figure; he was always there to protect and comfort her when she was scared, but also pushed her to try and be more social and be the best dragon she could be. She still goes to him whenever she needs advice or is struggling with her phobias or any sort of problem to this day. She even refers to him as her father, especially now that she met her birth father and was rejected by him.

    Charredan is a huge part of why Amalia has grown into the young adult dragon she is today. He pushed her to break past her flaws and helped her be the best dragon she possibly can be. He encouraged her to try and be more social by helping tend to the eggs and whelps of the Academy in her Juvenile years and this helped her slowly branch out to be more social overtime. He took special care to look out for her and to get her used to the outside world when she took his Wildlife Survival Class; he knew that her Agoraphobia was going to continue to get worse if she didn't have first-hand experience out in the wilderness of Parum Artifex soon and he aimed to fix that.

    He was also very supportive of her relationship with Grey when they first got together back in their Juvenile years as he believed that Grey would be a good influence for her and that she’d get used to socialization through him. He still approves of their relationship today and is glad to see they’re still together. After hearing about her misadventures in Lignaridisi, he’s more than happy to be teaching her again and has become a little protective of her after learning her birth father wanted nothing to do with her. Especially since she’s such a sweet girl.

    However, this feeling didn’t last for too long after Amalia took her Elemental Awakening Ceremony, as when they took her blood sample to find out what her Awakened Element would be, the Keepers found out she was instead part Venator instead of part Artisan. This discovery left Charredan feeling… Conflicted at best, and a failure at worst. For all Amalia’s life he and the other Keepers had been raising her to be a part of a noble Artisan family when she wasn’t even part Artisan to begin with, and because of that he can’t help but feel he’s partially responsible for Amalia’s current Identity Crisis she’s experiencing. Despite this, he’s still there for her and has been trying his hardest to help her through this crisis and become comfortable with what is essentially her ‘new self’.

    Banshee;

    Amalia knows of Banshee due to having taken her Knitting Lessons back during her Juvenile years at the Academy; however despite the fact that Amalia knows her from taking her class, the hybrid would constantly go out of her way to avoid talking to Banshee after class and to get to know her on a personal level, as Banshee’s more anxious nature often fed into Amalia’s own anxiety and thus, Banshee would unintentionally set Amalia off into a panic attack. Upon learning that her Awakened Element was Spirit, Amalia was left feeling conflicted; while on a surface level the fact that her Awakened Element being Spirit made sense with how spiritual she was growing up and that she could now potentially have access to some very interesting and different manifests, the fact that she would now be mentoring under Banshee’s care has kind of ruined the excitement of being part Spirit dragon for her; she doesn’t hate Banshee of course, she’s just more afraid of Banshee constantly setting her off more than anything. However, Amalia’s trying her hardest to keep an open mind about training underneath the Spirit Keeper’s care, but given everything that has happened to her within the last year, Amalia has some serious doubts right now.

    Psisha;

    Due to Amalia being of a more emotional sort of dragon, Psisha was able to easily connect with the young dragon the few rare times she ever came to her with issues. Because of this, Amalia saw Psisha’s classroom as a sort of safe haven when she needed some place to just hide away and relax. The two have a fairly good relationship, especially since Amalia had always been noted to have been a delight to work with in the class, the few times she would actually engage with her or the other students. Of course though, their relationship is still fairly new in comparison to say, her relationship with Charredan, so there’s still plenty of room for their relationship to grow and Amalia’s glad she has the chance to grow their relationship now that she’s returned to the Academy for Neophyte Training, despite not being under Psisha’s mentorship.

    Kroquis;

    While Amalia is grateful that Kroquis was the one who came up with her current name, she and the Ink Keeper have a very… Awkward relationship to say the least. His more insensitive approach to the students made Amalia very hesitant to get to know him personally during her time in his Art Class, and eventually her anxieties got the better of her and she dropped his class with a B due to how much his personality intimidated and unnerved her. However, despite the fact that she dropped his class, he holds no ill-will towards her due to understanding her anxieties, and instead is more-so disappointed that she dropped his class, as she showed a fair amount of talent for the arts. Outside of that, the two hold a very ‘avoidantly decent yet awkward’ relationship towards one another.

Noteworthy Relationships:

     Grey;

    Amalia met Grey in the Baking Class they shared together back in their Juvenile years due to Keeper Hart deciding to play 'matchmaker’ with the students again. While their first encounter was a bit embarrassing- with Amalia getting Grey covered in flour by accident- the two hit it off pretty well afterwards and things progressed naturally from there.

    The two were and still are very comfortable with each other and underneath the 'dating’ title, are very good and close friends. They enjoy spending time with each other doing whatever really, as the two are very easy going and relaxed. That's probably why the two get along so well. They can commonly be seen around the Academy cuddling, especially during the winter; Amalia gets cold easily due to her element and Grey's fluffy bunny fur, soft feathers, and thick wing membranes makes him incredibly comfy and warm.

    While most others would probably find this sort of relationship boring and otherwise 'lacking’, the two prefer it this way; there's no pressure or drama and the two can develop it on their own terms, especially with Amalia being so shy and all. Honestly, they're a good match for each other.

    During their Juvenile years, Grey helped her with her Aerophobia, carefully teaching her how to fly on her own terms. Given the fact that Amalia had always admired his flying abilities, she is extremely grateful for his help in curing her Aerophobia and holds him to a very high regard because of this.

    During their time away from the academy, Grey would use his Dream Weaver abilities to communicate with her in her dreams, since the two were in completely different realms. The two missed each other greatly and were happily reunited upon them both returning to the Academy as Neophytes. The two are extremely close and Amalia would go as far as to say that the two are bonded for life. She loves him dearly and he’s literally her favorite person ever; the two spend most of their time together. Some of the Juveniles around the Academy have even taken to calling them the ‘ideal couple’, given the fact that they’ve been together since their Juvenile days at the Academy.

    Grey showed great concern for Amalia upon hearing Seraphina was returning to the Academy for Neophyte training, as she had injured Amalia back in their Juvenile years. He went so far as to confront the Keepers about this, which was surprisingly uncharacteristic for him, given his usual laid-back nature. Amalia greatly appreciates Grey's concern for her and despite the fact that she has yet to express this to him, she holds Grey up to a very high regard for being protective of her.

    Although lately, after her Elemental Awakening Ceremony, she seems to be uncharacteristically distant to Grey lately; almost as if she learned something that’s making her feel the need to avoid him…

    Frostasia;

    Amalia and Frostasia are definitely friends, that’s for sure. Frostasia more often than not would pair up with her whenever Amalia didn’t have anyone else to pair up with in classes (like if she was in a class that Grey wasn’t in), as many other students would avoid pairing up with her due to her shy and quiet nature claiming her to be “difficult to work with”. Because of this, the twosome got to know each other fairly well and despite Frostasia’s weird interest with The Chronicler, she was extremely friendly and polite to the Fire Dragon during their Juvenile years.

    Frostasia ended up graduating from the Academy a couple of months before Amalia did, but the two surprisingly ended up reuniting at the Temple of the Dragons during Amalia’s time in Plavitatis. The two reconnected and Frostasia gave her plenty of needed comfort and advice given all she had gone through during her time in Plavitatis.

    Needless to say, Amalia’s glad that Frostsia’s returned to the Academy as well; it’s a comforting feeling having a good number of familiar friendly faces around the Academy besides just the Keepers.

    Seraphina;

    With her immense Elemental power, strength and intimidating personality, this Venator scares Amalia. She had the unfortunate experience of being one of the dragons that had gotten injured during Seraphina's little 'incident' with her Seraphim ability back in their Juvenile years, and that experience was enough to render Amalia terrified of her. She was a bit upset upon hearing that Seraphina returned to the Academy to receive Neophyte training and actively avoids her at all costs; especially when Seraphina tries to approach her. All in all, it's safe to say Amalia's trauma from the incident won't allow this relationship to be fixed anytime soon.

    Novah;

    Novah was one of the cluster of the many students who were injured during Seraphina’s little incident back in their Juvenile years; however Novah was one of the students who suffered very severe injuries from it. Due to having to have both of her Dream Weaver wings on her left side needing to be completely removed due to being shredded, rendered lame and riddled with infection, Novah was kept in the Hall of Crystals for long term hospice. Amalia made friends with Novah during her stay in the Hall of Crystals and the two bonded over Amalia’s Aerophobia and Novah’s new found inability to fly due to the removal of her wings. They both consider each other friends and they both are pleasantly surprised that they both returned for Neophyte training. Amalia hopes that she can get the chance to strengthen her bond with Novah now that the two will be spending more time together in the Academy walls once more.

     Revan;

    While Amalia has never out rightly interacted with the fabled Blood Peace Weaver herself, she’s heard through the grapevine about how she skewered Polaris with her horns in a fit of rage and thus, has been adamant about avoiding her throughout her Juvenile years. Even now, as a Neophyte, she goes out of her way to avoid her if she can, upon learning that she too has returned for Neophyte training. Amalia might be willing to open up to Revan, so long as she keeps a level head and doesn’t terrify the poor Ven Weaver to death.

     Arath;

    There's not much for Amalia to say about Arath, as she never really interacted with him much during her own Juvenile years. Even as a Whelp while she was helping in the Nursery, Charredan would always care for him first so she never really got to know Arath. He mostly left her alone growing up, which later on in life proved to be beneficial as Arath developed a love for pranks, tricks, and teasing; something Amalia's not fond of given her timid, skittish nature. She wouldn't mind getting to know the fellow young Fire Dragon better, so long as he refrained from making her a victim of his pranks.

     Tephra;

    Due to Amalia helping Charredan in Ignurris’ Nursery during the later parts of her Juvenile years, Tephra was often under her unofficial care as a whelp; while Tephra was never out rightly a pain to her like some of the other whelps were, Tephra here did enjoy nipping at Amalia’s heels, much to her dismay. Despite the nipping, Amalia always enjoyed Tephra’s energy as it often made Amalia want to come out of her shell- if only just a bit. Tephra has definitely become much more sassier in their newly found Juvenile years; lucky for Amalia their sass is more-so playful rather than demeaning or defiant. Overall, she likes Tephra’s company and finds them to be very cute and endearing- when not causing mischief with one of their prank wars with Arath.

Neophyte Job Card: [ LINK ]

[[ StickyBiscuit has given me specific permission to allow Amalia to have two extra manifests in exchange for weaker and slightly more detrimental awakened element manifests. Please do not do this unless you get specific permission from her.]]

Manifest One:

    Name: Molten Venom

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Activated / Passive (When Spooked)

    Description:

    Amalia has a 'venom sac’ in her throat filled with boiling hot lava. By contracting the muscles in her throat she can squeeze the lava out and spit it similarly to how a snake can spit its venom; when using this manifest the entirety of her mouth, the back of her throat, and the front of her upper front side of her neck glow a bright, fiery orange and yellow. Surprisingly, the lava she spits is slightly more liquid-quese and thus, it acts a little more-so like venom than regular lava would. The venom spits as far as your average subadult breath manifests. She can also just keep the 'venom' in her mouth and use it to bite down on her enemies to 'poison' them. The venom both burns the victim's scales/skin as lava would, and can even burn the inside of the infected area if the lava venom gets into the bite wound.

    Amalia has an uncanny habit of doing this when she's spooked; although the venom doesn't actually spit as far as it would if she were actively using it and usually just gets caught up on her lips. Oops.

    The back of her mouth glows when she uses this ability, and she claims that her mouth tastes like sulfur and boiled eggs for a few hours afterwards. Weird.

Manifest Two:

    Name: Fiery Fae

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Activated / Passive (When Meditating)

    Description:

    Amalia has the ability to create small, faerie-like wisps of fire that flutter about and surround her. Amalia can create up to around thirty of these wisps at one time; the more wisps she has created, the shorter amount of time they tend to last for. When she has thirty wisps created, they tend to roughly last for about half an hour when she actively summons them. When summoned passively though they last up until she’s finished meditating.

    These wisps can be used to illuminate dark places and can also be used to deter anyone from attacking her, as she can have them gather in one place to create a sort of 'fire shield' or 'fire wall'. They will obviously burn whoever they touch, besides Amalia and other Fire Dragons. She can also shoot them towards people with a swish of her tail, flap of her wings, or if she blows them towards others. When she does this, she can subconsciously make them erupt into an explosion of roaring flames if she so wishes as well. Otherwise, the fae shot towards others will essentially ‘stick’ to their assailant and burn them until put out.

    When using this manifest Amalia's eyes, light colored spots, and dark markings on her horns, wings, and belly plates will glow a bright, light yellow-y hue and even flicker like a flame when she activates this ability. These wisps are summoned out of the light spots on her body from a small pillar of candle-like flames.

    More often than not, since they can't harm her, they will actually land on her. This ability is actually passive when she meditates and at least one has to be made while meditating at all times. She usually has it on either her head or on the tip of her nose. When summoning them, they will flicker to life from just a few embers. When summoning them away, they flicker and die out in a small stream of smoke the same way the flame of a candle would. If surprised while meditating, the far wisps will suddenly burn up into a puff of thick smoke and ashes before disappearing.

    Oddly enough, some question if they're actual fire faeries or not, given that they seem to have a mind of their own when she meditates and tend to make a sort of 'jingling' noise that sounds similar to feminine giggling…

Manifest Three:

    Name: Flash Fire

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Activated

    Description:

    Amalia lights the entirety of her tail on fire and quickly spins herself 360° with her mana while using her tail as a whip, giving those who are touched by it a burning whiplash. The movement of this manifest is super quick lasting only for a second, thus Amalia can use it in rapid succession up to ten times before feeling dizzy. The status effects of the welt and burn last as long as a normal burn and welt would. The victim also gets knocked back about two to three yards depending on their size and weight. She can continue to use this manifest up to fifteen times before her mana completely runs out, but using it for this long will make her dizzy and nauseous and she will need to recompose herself afterwards before being able to continue to battle once more.

    Amalia can also use this manifest as a sort of temporary airborne whip; she’ll jump up into the air and then tuck her wings in in order to curl up and roll herself forward, launching her tail down at her target, sending scorching flames in their direction. This version of Flash Fire does twice as much damage but only if her tail actually makes contact with her target, as the weight and length of her tail creates just that much more force. She can not do this manifest in rapid succession in the air as she she only has enough time to do it once from jumping; the only way she could use this manifest in rapid succession in the air is if we were to have been already airborne via flying only then to switch into using this manifest repeatedly while falling from the sky, which puts her at severe risk of getting injured.

Manifest Four:

    Name: Flare Blitz

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Activated

    Description:

    Amalia releases a critical amount of scorching hot air from behind her wings as she flaps them backwards, that is so strong and intense in force that it propels her forward in a rush of searing flames that engulfs her body. By doing this, she can launch herself at a target that’s up to five yards away from her in order to clear the space between them; crashing into her target creates a localized explosion of flames that not only does physical burning damage to the target, but also temporarily stuns them from protecting themselves or from retaliating while launching them away and into the air. Amalia can quickly turn on her heels by using the momentum of this manifest to nearly turn herself around instantly and launch herself again, allowing her to use this manifest in rapid succession on one target if need be. Otherwise, she can use this manifest in rapid succession to blast herself from one target to the next. This manifest can be used up to seven times in a row.

    She can use this manifest in tandem with her Molten Venom manifest; she can use Flare Blitz to launch herself at a target while preparing her Molten Venom manifest. Upon making contact with the target, her Flare Blitz will do enough physical damage to temporarily stun her target, to which she then quickly uses this opening to latch onto her target and then repeatedly bite them with her Molten Venom.

    She can also combine this manifest with flying to give her a quick fiery boost mid-air.

Manifest Five:

    Name: Sacred Fire

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Sustained

    Description:

    By focusing her energy and chakra to the center of her core while clearing her mind, Amalia can access an ancient fire used by the ancient Fire Elders back in the primal ages. This ancient fire sets her spines, body blade ‘fins’, wings, and the entirety of her tail ablaze in bright, yellow-y white flames, making her look like the long since extinct Longma of old. Her eyes turn completely white and glow as well.

    While this ability is active, her senses over her physical form are heavily heightened, making her twice as agile and giving her incredible melee strength that she didn't have before. However, because she has to focus all her energy to her core, she has no access to any of her other abilities. If she tries to use one of her other abilities, her focus is immediately broken and the ancient flames are instantly snuffed out, reverting her psychical state back to its original status. She also has limited flight, only really allowing her to use her wings to perform a double jump, a short glide, and a quick forward dash.

    Her backside, tail, wings, and fins are always charred after using this ability, despite it not burning or hurting her.

Manifest Six:

    Name: Phoenix Down

    Element: Fire

    Effect: Passive (When Charging) / Sustained (When Activated)

    Description:

    Every time Amalia takes a hit from a manifest, ability, or status effect that was inflicted upon her, her eyes, the small light spots on her body and the dark markings on her horns, belly plates, and tail blade flash a bright, glowing, creamy white color, as she absorbs a tiny bit of said ability's mana and converts it into a flammable substance that she stores in small pockets beneath her scales all over her body, until she's made enough of this substance and is ready to activate this ability. The substance she creates is slightly translucent and chromatic in color, taking on a slightly darker hue than your average cup of water would. It is thick and oily, but evaporates entirely when set aflame. It has a very, very light sulfur scent to it, that grows tenfold when set on fire.

    Upon activating said ability, she quickly releases the substance via ‘sweating’ it out beneath her scales and allows her entire body to rapidly increase in heat in under a few seconds; hot enough to set the flammable substance aflame; she then bursts into mystical orange, yellow, and white flames in the shape of a dual winged Phoenix, making her look almost like one.

    These flames will gradually heal her over time for half of the damage that was dealt to her in order to activate this ability. This ability also acts as a temporary means of protection, as the flames upon her will burn whoever touches her, as well as the fact that she has higher defense in the sense that she only takes 25% of damage dealt to her, unless she is attacked with abilities that are aligned to the following Elements; Ice, Wind, Water and Ink, as she take 50% more damage from those said Elemental manifests in this state.

    While this ability is active, Amalia is unable to access any of her other manifests other than her Molten Venom, Fiery Fae, and Flash Fire manifests and thus, is restricted to solely using melee attacks and her Molten Venom, Fiery Fae, and Flash Fire manifests. Amalia's body will remain staggeringly hot for about ten minutes after this manifest is used, until she is able to allow the outside air around her to cool her down.

Manifest Seven:

    Name: Searing Shot

    Element: Fire & Spirit

    Effect: Activated

    Description:

    By compressing the lava filled 'venom sac’ in her throat, Amalia essentially ‘collects’ a massive amount of lava in the back of her throat, which she essentially uses as a ‘vessel’ to temporarily store some of her spiritual energy in. She then compresses the back of her throat and shoots a small and thin but sharp, winged flaming ‘arrow’ of spiritual energy from her mouth at her desired target; she can shoot up to ten of these spiritual arrows at once in rapid succession.

    Due to the spiritual nature of these ‘arrows’, they can and will pierce through her target, doing both physical and spiritual damage to them at once. However, the amount of physical damage these arrows do is very miniscule in comparison to the rest of her manifests. The physical damage of this manifest is done from the lava and flames that engulf these arrows, while the spiritual damage is done from Amalia’s spiritual energy entering the target’s body through the arrow to essentially ‘attack’ her target’s own spiritual energy; this causes the target in question to temporarily be unable to access their manifests as well as temporarily breaks their moral, making them less likely to get back up and fight until it wears off. This usually lasts for about a minute per shot; meaning these effects can last up to ten minutes when all ten available shots are used at once on one target. This manifest can also blow back her target, depending on how many times she fires it; the target will move back two yards for each singular shot that she makes, with the exception of the last tenth shot, which will always create a small compacted explosion that will send the target flying six yards instead. This manifest also has a tendency to knock Amalia back as well when she fires it; it tends to knock her back about a yard's length for every singular shot she shoots.

    However, given that the spiritual energy used in this manifest is Amalia’s own spiritual energy, Amalia also takes spiritual damage from using this manifest. The type of spiritual damage she takes is different from the spiritual damage that her target takes. The type of spiritual damage Amalia takes causes her to experience brief and quick, almost snapshot-like flashes of the target’s life through what appears to be 'their eyes' for every shot she shoots at them; almost like having the abilities of a 'soothsayer', if you will. These snapshots are random moments throughout the target’s life, and while she can not control the chronological order in which these snapshots happen in, they are vivid, intense and life-like, almost as if she were reliving that moment of their life through her own body. The intensity of this experience is disorienting despite how brief it is, so using it in rapid succession causes her to become incredibly fatigued and morally discouraged afterwards.

    When using this manifest, the entirety of her mouth glows a bright, almost blinding yellow-y white color, her eyes turn completely white and glow, and she gains a small flame-like ‘halo’ behind her head which remains for thirty seconds after using the manifest. Her mouth immediately fades back to its normal coloration upon use, so it always has to ‘re-light’ whenever she goes to use it again. After finishing her last finishing shot, large plumes of thick, heavy white smoke will bellow from her mouth and nostrils for a good minute.

    Amalia has reported that up to a week after using this manifest, she sometimes re-experiences these snapshots in her sleep and when she daydreams or zones out, which briefly brings back that feeling of fatigue, moral discouragement, and self-doubt. Sometimes they happen so often and frequently in one sitting that she experiences severe eye strain and migraines from them, as well as a pseudo form of what could be closely described as 'Chronic Fatigue Syndrome'.

Manifest Eight:

    Name: Ancestral Flames

    Element: Fire & Spirit

    Effect: Sustained

    Description:

    Despite Amalia’s prowess over her mana, this manifest is something beyond her control; using it only as a ‘last resort’, Amalia either willingly or unwillingly lets herself get possessed by an ancient Venator spirit named ‘Searana’ when threatened or in danger, and allows her full control over her body, essentially becoming Searana’s temporary vessel. While the spirit is not malicious in nature, the spirit is extremely protective of Amalia and tends to have a bad temper when Amalia’s in danger and thus, will unrelentingly fight tooth and nail to keep her safe.

    While being possessed by Searana, Amalia loses all control of her body, only retaining her own thoughts as she watches Searana manipulate and control her body through her own eyes. She can not ‘eject’ Searana out of her body willingly, and she has to essentially just sit there and ‘wait’ inside her own body until her mana is completely used up and Searana is forced out of her body, or until Searana willingly leaves her body on her own terms.

    Amalia claims that during her possession, she experiences flashes of the spirit’s life during the Dark Wars, as well as undergoing some sort of form of ‘Solipsism’; she can perfectly recall Searana’s memories with vivid accuracy and has a tendency to unintentionally describe them verbally while in a trance-like state. This form of Solipsism has on the rare occasion, manifested outside of her possession as well, usually anywhere from an hour afterwards of using it. She has also claimed that post-possession tends to cause her issues with spatial awareness, confusion, dissociation, extreme exhaustion, and very rarely out-of-body experiences.

    Overall, Amalia tries to avoid using this manifest if she can, and it seems like the spirit that possesses her when using this manifest mostly respects her unwillingness to use it as well; as they only ever seem to possess her by force under dire circumstances.
