Description I felt like doing another animation about my comic Amaranthine Guardia. The comic will have animated splash pages so this was a good practice.

The previous animation of Signa is here:Β Desert Night Stars

Is this an original character? That's a compliment. Your description of a character named Signa in a...Aha! character meme? It was simple yet wonderfully expressive in a short space of writing. The character seemed wonderfully well developed with fantastic potential for growth, as well.
Also character design manages to imply a lot with a little which is also wonderful. The picture I saw gave me a feeling she lived a kind of simple ascetic life of sorts, clothes are modest yet airy and allow free, unrestricted movement.Simple colors for the most part, brown and white, little to no ostentation or fancy design, but well made and tailored with a certain simple grace. The Red sash alone stands out. It too is in no way elaborate, but the overall effect is all the more striking for this very reason. Her hair is short, in no way seductive, but well kept and a little longer on top. This gives the impression that she takes care of herself in a way that isn't overly 'fashion' conscious, but none-the -less not wholly stoic and repressed in its simplicity. Rather a earthy sort of freedom and healthy consciousness of appearance.
Basically the design is pretty great. I can't tell for sure if a character from a show or someone you developed on your own that, from what I've seen SHOULD have her own show.

I'm not just asking this so I can compliment you. I'm thinking of trying that character meme thing and wondering if it has to be a wholly original creation or not. I can that but it will take a little while to really develope more fully.
Thanks!

Thank you my dear. Still hoping to get smoother results for the comic though. :3

I don't really see how it could be any smoother than this. But you've proved me wrong more than once, so I'm just gonna wait and see. Haha. XD

Lol, well. XD You know how its easy toΒ endlesslyΒ find little improvable things in our own works even when others can't find them?
Anyway, I'm really glad if it looks nice after putting much time and effort in it. :3

Yeeeah, well it is a handy skill to learn to be able to sometimes just say when something's good enough. Though by nitpicking about smallest details one can still learn a lot. XD

It sure does. :'D

Yeah, both are good but there needs to be the golden middle road there somewhere for it to work. :'D
Letting go of too much nitpicking is good but at the same time it might mean that the artist needs to find a way to stylize/simplify their work in some way.

True. Hardest part is weighing the quality against quantity, whether you would be ready to sacrifice something to make a deadline. Either way, this looks awesome as hell! XD

This is something we'll have to be constantly balancing with. :'DD Sucks but what can you do, else than try? XD
Thank you thank you!

Love this so muuuuch! I love the little changes in the wind and flapping, as well as the small sand going in the background there. c:

Uwaaa! Β΄3` Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, so few people do that anymore. :'D Also I'm glad you noticed those details. :3
I'm going to make splashes like this in the actual comic but it's good to practice them on something else first. >XD

Thank you, I'm glad you think so!
My comic takes place in a world/universe different than ours. The setting is a huge desert area with a touch of magic and supernatural phenomena.

Thank you so much! A bit slowly but surely. I've finished 8 pages so far, and a couple of them are animated (those always take a lot of time). I had to take a little break from it because I'm a bit busy with different errands right now. I'm planning to continue on the pages in a couple of weeks though. Hopefully I've finished enough buffer by late fall/winter so I can start publishing the pages. :3

I look forward to it, especially the animated scenes. I wish I spend more time learning animation, maybe I'll do it someday.

Sorry for my uber late replies here.
Thank you a lot for your interest! And sure, I really recommend it because animating is really fun. Personally I like Photoshop-made frame-by-frame animation but there are others as well, such as bone animation you could do for example in Flash. I didn't know anything about animating myself, other than the idea behind "onion skins". It was quite fast to just start from scratch and develop it from there, through trial and error of course. Personally I thought at first it would be a lot harder but to my surprise, I was wrong. ^^
