Description
Here's a little animation related to the comic I'm working on.This is my first finished or coloured animation I've ever done and I'm quite happy with it.
Made frame by frame in Photoshop.My comic will have small animated parts too, but they will be more simple than this one. At least I hope so, animating is pretty slow work.
But here we go, Signa and the tiny light in the desert night.

I figured that animating imagesΒ can be very difficult to do (and quite time consuming), but you've done a beautiful job with this piece!

Well it's not fully animated as a motion comic would be, but I intend to put as many animations in it as I can/that looks good.

I'm still working on the painting style so that it won't start to change throughout the comic. All the page sketches are ready so it's pretty good on its way.

Don't take me wrong! A higher frame rate doesn't necessarily mean it'd be better in any sense. I just meant to say the animation looks smooth regardless of the frame rate. The frame rate has nothing to do with the greatness of this animation. If that makes any sense?

No I didn't get you wrong. I just happened to realize, while making the animation, that it was a bit too slow for some parts to work the way I wanted but the result is just close enough so I'm happy with it.

I see. That's awesome. I usually work in 12 fps, even if the animation wouldn't necessarily demand it. It just leaves me more room for adjustment if necessary. :'D
