Yes, it's time to upload a stamp once again.

Somewhere on the internet, you've probably heard the word "butthurt". Maybe you've even used the word or been called it yourself (I've certainly been called it). But the big problem with the word is it's overused and I don't think the people using it understand what it means.
According to Urban Dictionary, the word means, "An inappropriately strong negative emotional response from a perceived personal insult." Therefore, it is not a suitable synonym for "offended", which simply means, "hurt or upset."
An example of someone being butthurt would be if two people got into a little disagreement and then one person wrote a journal about how 'stupid' the other person was. In that example, the journal writer is 'butthurt' as their actions were inappropriate and overly emotional.
