We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight. And we would especially like to welcome all the representatives of deviantArt's rule enforcement community that have chosen to join us here in the RosalinasSoulmate Gallery at this time. We do sincerely hope that you all enjoy the drawing and please remember, people, that no matter who you are, and whatever you do to live, thrive and survive, there are still some things that make us all the same: You, me, them -- everybody, people, everybody!As I discussed in The Personal Significance of RosaPit , drawing Rosalina and Pit has been something that's really helped me get through 2020. They are two of my favorite video game characters of all time, and the idea of them being a happy couple just warms my heart and gives me hope. Of course, I don't want my legacy on this planet to be "the RosaPit guy," but if that's my main contribution to 2020...not a bad one in my book.
For a winter drawing of the lovely couple, I thought it would be adorable for them to drink hot chocolate together. As I discussed in Chocolate and Clouds , I feel like both Rosalina and Pit would enjoy chocolate, so why not a classic winter beverage that's mostly chocolate, too? Much like the end of 2019 , I put them in winter attire based on Winter RosaPit . I also gave Pit a striped Mario beanie and a thermos based on the Cappy tea infuser because they seemed appropriate for him. And even though it's cold and snowy outside, they've got their hot chocolate and each other. What else in the galaxy could they need in that moment?
