While going through my old sketches, I found one of Alex Jr. and Prince Mars having beef brisket together. Back in 2019, I became a fan of it after trying it at a local BBQ restaurant and wanted to reflect that in my drawing. As I thought about it, I got to wondering if the Moon Kingdom in my drawings could have cattle and/or dairy as a major industry. With things like the cow jumping over the Moon or the myth that the Moon is made of cheese, I thought it would be appropriate, and I could actually create in-universe reasons why those phrases exist.To start up this idea, I decided to make a full color, updated version of that sketch. While Alex Jr. loves bacon cheeseburgers, he wouldn't object to beef brisket. And he especially wouldn't object to trying beef brisket from his best friend's home kingdom. As he's found out, beef from the Moon is really delicious.
