I was actually pretty excited for Shroom Ridge being added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe last year. I feel like it was a pretty fun, underrated course in DS that got overshadowed by other courses, such as Waluigi Pinball. And I feel like, while it wasn't as revamped as other courses, the additions made to it just improved on it. I do wish it pushed the graphical capabilities of the Switch more, as its textures are rather flat, but otherwise, I'm glad it got a second chance to be raced on.I thought I'd draw Waluigi and Daisy at Shroom Ridge. One of my headcanons is that Waluigi is very nostalgic and enjoys retro courses, especially ones he's been to before. He's glad that he and Daisy can revisit Shroom Ridge. He enjoyed getting to drive around it in his Gold Mantis back in 2005, as she did with her Power Flower. Now, they get to re-experience that joy in his B-Dasher and her Sports Bike, along with the MKTV Glider if they can get a speed boost over to the glide ramp.
