It's been a very hard week, last Saturday my dog, Brit, passed away.

16 long years, first friend that really stuck around for so long - she joined the family when I was 5 or so and being a military brat we were always moving and me always changing schools and such. She's brought a lot of love into the family, helped even bring it together really. My dad and mom weren't even married yet when she came along. There are so many good stories that could attest to what a full and bright life she lived.

I've cried for days now and I'm not done grieving really, but this is the first I've been able to talk about her without crumbling completely.

I know I haven't really been that talkative or myself the past few days, so I'm sorry for that. I'm starting to feel a little better, coming to terms with it all.

I don't really know what to say now without falling to deep in those emotions now, lol, so here's to Brit.
