It's finally done!!!

Ahhh. This is probably the most ambitious drawing I've done in a while, aside from some commissions. For the sake of fun, I mixed media this time! It was drawn with pigma pens, copic markers, prismacolor pencils, white gel pen, white acrylic paint and shimmery gold ink. Yes, the parts that are yellow in the scan are actually a very vibrant, sparkling metallic gold in person.

I had way too much fun making this! It was one of those drawings that just seemed to come out of nowhere. I'm glad to have met this character, wherever the hell she came from. Also, as an added surprise, this was the first thing I drew in my new sketchbook. Go figure. XD

This is also a milestone for me, because I was able to do something I pretty much *never* do... I started out drawing this with a completely different head on the character, and when I realized it wasn't proportional (even though I REALLY liked it), I forced myself to erase the whole head and draw a new one. And it turned out better than before!! This has definitely helped me learn to trust in my own ability a bit more. <3

This is an original character, though, again, I have no idea who she is... perhaps some kind of sky pirate? Maybe I'll play around with her a bit more sometime. :3
