No matter what, he STILL looks like a self-righteous Drama teacher to me. Like he thinks he was too good to become a Hollywood actor so he decided that he'd make the world a better place by teaching his skills to the newer generations of stars. THAT sort of Drama teacher. The scarf is a HUGE part of that image. Either that or a hipster who thinks living pokemon are "too mainstream". XD At least he isn't like those goth kids from South Park. "Poser! You're no TRUE Pokemon trainer. You don't have the soul necessary to really know what they want from you." XDDD
But the Jotoh Gym Leader I REALLY hate is Claire! She is a spoiled brat that is even stubborn while in her mid-twenties and refuses to give you the badge until Lance comes in and says so. Why does she even listen to him? Because he outranks her. Not out of respect, not because he is her cousin, no. Just because he is of a higher station that she is clearly jealous of. I'd pay a bunch of Poke' to see her face when Squiggles the Wigglytuff wrecks her "invincible, all-powerful, god-like" Dragons. Yeah, she'd have to learn the hard way that these Fairy-types.....Play Rough! XDDDDD

oh no! I really do not agree with you with your outlook on Morty. he is a very sweet chill guy. he really doesn't seem hipster to me at all. the scarf isn't all that oversized either normally. I just like exaggerating it.

Also, even though Whitney literally crys when she loses and doesn't give you the badge immediately, she is still a great sport in the end. So a little girl is more mature than Claire. Those Dragons give her a false sense of entitlement. She isn't special just because she is one of the very few young and active trainers that were born in Blackthorn among the Dragon-users. Ironically, Valerie is the exact opposite of her except for gender.

autumn can be scarf weather. trust me. and I think Johtoh might ne more north than Hoenn. Sinnoh is obviously the most northern place.. then again pokemon clothing has never really suited the place's weather. Exibit A ORAS Maxie. 8I
