One of my BEST pieces of work (if I do say so myself)! Hope you like this as much as I do! ^_^Yami's my fave, so I drew him all decked out in his Pharaoh clothes! I love the colors! And I really wanted to put some motion in the pic. ^.~
Yami's the coolest, the King of All Egypt!
He's like the sun rays on the tip of the Pyramids! Atem of the Sun!
Oh, and the symbol on his cheek is (of course) an Egyptian symbol meaning "Truth."

This picture actually appeared in the magazine: Yu-Gi-Oh Beckett Unofficial Collector. And I didn't even know 'til someone else told me. I was like: "What?!"
You see I'd entered it in the COPIC art contest and hadn't won. I had thought that was that, until I found out they'd printed it anyway - just not within the contest.

I do like the symbol on his cheek. Reading your latest comments, I also didn't know that there where 3 different languges. I thought they only had Hieroglyphics *hence why I have glyphics on my back!*

And there are many rules; many rules make me nervous because I'm a stickler for rules, and would go nutzy worrying if I was breaking any! X.x
(That's why I only made 5 Simple Rules for my club. Any more than that, and I wouldn't be able to remember them, let alone expect my members to. ^_^)

Is the symbol hieroglyphics or written text? Because there were two written languages in Egypt. GOOD JOB! I saw this at the anime convention and I wanted to buy it (Only thing is, that I was broke then...sigh)...

There are actually 3 kinds of writing in Ancient Egyptian: Hieratic, Demotic & Hieroglyphic. ^_~
I'm not quite sure what type of writing the symbol on Yami's cheek comes from, I found it on a clipart CD with lots of other Egypt images.

I know the kanji character meaning "truth". Its name is Makoto. The Shinsengumi, an elite group of swordsmen during the bakumatsu, or revolutionary period, donned Makoto on their banners.

Sweet... One question though, how do you do the shine effects?

Which shine effects? The hair? The gold jewels?

I used to do the effects "by hand" (as much "by hand" as you can get doing it on the computer) before I started using a more advanced program and then they do it automatically.
Anyway, all you have to do is choose a base color, then get a very dark version of that color, then a very light version, and with these 3 colors, swipe your fuzzy-brush in a straight line (doesn't matter which direction, so long as they all go together), swiping each side by side, and you should have a neat shine. The width of your digital fuzzy-brush also affects the look of the shine, so try different sizes and see what you like! ^_^
