Nice! I like the way you rendered the reflection of the swan on the surface of the water.

This is one I'm afraid, That it was one of those days when nothing was going right, Paintings included. I done this the a couple of weeks after losing my Mom a couple months ago, in a effort to try to keep focused on life and things in general. Basically trying to keep one foot on the ground , so too speak, So it's not one of my betters. But it was a life jacket for me while I was in deep waters. Thats why the reflection is so pro-dominate, I guess? I was reflecting in time then too. But I liked the swan, so I kept it.

This is gorgeous, simply gorgeous. It would make an amazing centerpiece for a living room. You said you sold your artwork at craft shows right?

"Thank You for your sweet words" From you my friend, they always have a way to mean more.

What I said in regards to selling my work. Is that I have 2 shops who display and sell them on a commission basis. They get 20% of my sale.
I some placed with a local art gallery in Gaffney, which sponsor's Undiscovered Artist, out of Charleston, and Greenville South Carolina. I also sell by word of mouth so too speak. One person refers me to someone thingie.
I have one couple who sell out of Anderson, S.C. out of a Mystical Shop, Called Owls and Dragons, Thats mostly dragon pictures though.
But no craft shows...... Why should i check into that area also?

Craft shows are just another outlet to show/sell artwork, was just saying I think this would sell very quickly, it's beautiful.

Thank for the suggestion *smiles*
I'll give it a try, I've started one of this picture for one of the local shops to hang and try too sale. It's on a 60x30 canvas I made, but with the same theme as this. We'll see how it does and let you know. Most in this area like lighthouses, Mountains, Dragons and some few Angels. Those pictures are pretty much set to what will sell.
People here are set in their ways greatly. I wish they would like a larger variation of subjects. But..... you have to do what they like... to sell.

Yeah, that's the problem I come across w/ some of my comission work. There's just a few pieces that people have asked me to do that are just uninspiring. I hope that someday I'll be able to just have a store and put up all my artwork, whatever I feel like, and just see what sells, that'd be excellent.

Meanwhile, I dig all of your work, so mebbe set up an art website so that people outside of your area can purchase your work too? That might expand the horizons of what's in demand a bit?

Ya! know what you mean. it does get frustrating at times doing things that seem like ho-hum doing, But every once in a while I get to do something that lights the fire up, so to speak. Like the one of the Fallen Angel's Ret.,.
Then I get charged and wham! along comes a still life of Flowers, yuck! I hate that. So here lately, I say no restrictions on my work, I'll let them give me some idles, like beach or mountains or on landscapes, but no dogs or cats and such. Then I do what is in my head.....If they don't like they can go to the shop and pick over what is available down there. Sounds mean but I'm sick of stills right now.
I like the idle of the web site, Thats a good one. I'm trying too set this up here to some effect to see how they will sell here. and I have a site in the works called Rose's Gallery2 But it's not no where ready yet. Still under construction with it. But I'm hoping it will up and ready some time this spring.. E-bay has been doing good for me some too every once In a while. I run some through it. But like you, I'm after my own shop too. Well it's a dream least wise.

Yeah, I've had several friends offer to build me an art website over the years but none have followed through *shrugs* I'll get one eventually.

Guess you're like me there. It's one of those things you have too do I guess, or spend big bucks.
Me I'll build it to save the big bucks, and roll it over into materials and such.
Got me a program on it and learning the ropes as I go.
They say you're never to old to learn....
