The wild dogs had gotten the better of Tirad, one getting a good bite in on his flanks. He'd returned the favor, using his blunt hooves to smah the dog in it's ribs. There were too many however, leaving Tirad to flee for his life, injury and all. The dogs weren't far behind as he raced through the forest, the sun having set already. As the moon began to rise, Tirad broke through the tree line and raced towards the rushing river. Risking the cold river and it's dark waters weren't even a question. The stallion could very well dive through the river, make his way across to the other side- removing his scent from the path and then he could follow the river down a bit, and perhaps cross back over if this side wasn't that fruitful. The stallion preffered the forest, regretted not racing towards the mountains where he could've rushed up the rocky mountain side and escaped from the pawd beasts. He snorted, and braved the cold waters, wincing when the icy liquid brushed his wounded flank. He would rest later when he was safe and away from all of dogs. He couldn't quite see the other side in the dark, but it seemed like the dogs were still rushing around in the forest and wouldn't be catching up any time soon.

As you follow the river you notice some movement back towards the banks. You spot a very frantic looking raccoon who is darting about near the edge of the water throwing around dirt, leaves and rocks. It looks like he may have lost something important! Do you:

Your plan to cross the river goes according to plan! Your careful footwork through the churning waters and careful steps on the river bottom has left you with some well earned experience.

You follow the river upstream, the night getting darker and darker. It was dire time you look for shelter. Running out of the small amount of light left you find there is no shelter on this side of the river. You cross the river, belly deep in water. After exiting the river and shaking off you leave the area, lifting your head up you;
