Description

After Sanguis returns to the territory, Vera immediately strays away to look for herbs, even though it's still winter. Her supplies have thinned and she now needs to try and find at least something. Instead, she finds someone. She accidentally stumbles upon Ragnar, who was assigned to her not long before Sanguis had to abandon their home.

Ragnar is cautious, if not hostile, yet he doesn't flee. Instead, the now free wolf allowas Vera to come closer as she was the one who never did him any harm in the Cult - quite the opposite - she was the one to mend his wounds every time.

Seeing Ragnar's reaction, Vera claims to understand his nervousness and disdain, for she has once been a thrall too. However, she was never given a chance to escape.
