Headcanons:

• Tails and Maria like to make blueprints together for upcoming inventions to help the group such as; robots, vehicles, accessories, etc. Maria would help build (She's actually capable with helping build small chunks for specific projects), but Shadow specifically requested that Tails wouldn't let her. Tails thinks this is silly but he entirely understands Shadow's perspective, and Maria enjoys just blueprinting, so they don't really mind.

• Sonic and Maria both enjoy flowers and understand flower language. Sonic normally doesn't enjoy talking about this as he finds this embarrassing, but he feels comfortable enough to open up with Maria about it. He feels bad that she often has to stay cooped up at HQ, so he brings her flowers from his trips for her to press into a book and write about. Their goal is to collect every possible flower.

• Shadow isn't sure of how to communicate with Maria after this whole ordeal, so Rouge makes Shadow walk Maria every morning to get some air/give Maria a tour of the area. Maria asks Shadow about his adventures as well as Earth's wonders. He shyly talks about them to which she excitedly listens every time.

• Amy had Maria's clothes specially made by Honey the Cat as a commission. She memorised what her outfit looked like back on the A.R.K and didn't think Maria would want to keep wearing something that resembled Dr. Eggman, so she asked Honey to make something inspired by Maria's old clothes. She figured it'd also help her feel at home to wear something familiar.

• Maria's earrings are a gift from Rouge.

• Shadow helps out with physical therapy for Maria as she has a lot of body aches. Maria feels sorry about all of this, but it reminds Shadow of times at the A.R.K, and thus doesn't mind at all. If anything, he enjoys helping her.

• Although Maria is more than capable at HQ when nobody else is around, Shadow worries about her a lot. He doesn't even realise that he's worried because he physically doesn't come off as scared, however his dialogue makes it quite obvious. Rouge tries to comfort him and remind him nothing can hurt her because HQ is well protected by Maria's and Tails' machines, but he still worries. Rouge thinks this side of him is very cute/sweet.
