For Many days, Miss Melanie Dirge journeyed through the underworld. It was tiresome, dark and rather dangerous. Cliff-like areas were steep, some creatures couldn't be trusted, food wasn't always available and boy she sure got herself into some narrow escapes with many creatures she DID run into- mainly those she didn't really mean to upset or were easily offended. However, from observing their behavior, she could easily piece together that whenever her jealousy or anger got the better of her, she found out WHY others were not exactly fond of her attitude at times. Acting like that, especially over something petty, only makes someone loose a friend. And most of these kinds of creatures whom she accidently angered were rather solitary.

It wasn't until a few weeks later, where she came to another forest. This forest seemed to have a rather...plesant and cool feel. Kind of different to the Mandragora forest in some way. There was a cool breeze and a large stream which seemed rather alive- which also lead to a lake. Fae-like Willo-the-wisps darted here and there

Now around this time, the young strange human girl felt exhasted and quite hungry.

MD: Oh I haven't had anything to eat for a while again.....*sees a stream* Hmmm, a stream. Perhaps I could do with a little fish meal tonight. After all, it wouldn't hurt, since I DO remember a little technique for hunting fish the Mandragora taught me.
*taking a long twig which had fallen down from one of its branches, she sharpens it into a spear like appendage. She then approaches an area of the lake which had rocks on at the bottom*
MD: now here goes.....
*throwing it into the water to spear a nearby fish, she then pulls it out and- viola- a decent sized edible fish *
MD: Perfect! *expression changes from happiness to fear as she sees LARGER looking shapes in the water approach her. Three Mermaids then surface*

All 3 of them: INTRUDER! HUMAN INTRUDER IN OUR LAKE! DROWN HER BEFORE SHE THREATENS OUR LAKE EVEN MORE!
MD: AAAAAAAH GET AWAY *Tries to whack them with her stick she has, but unfortunately they just kept coming, hissing and threatening and eventually got hold of her legs. Melanie grabs a nearby tree at the bank to stop them from dragging her back into the lake, but alas thier grip was too strong, she felt like she was loosing it.*

ALL of a sudden, a familiar voice rang out

Someone: HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING! I KNOW THAT HUMAN!
Mermaids: WHAT?! YOU DO?!
MD: Huh?! *her eyes widen with surprise*
