Description Just a scrap.

Fanart of Gwen and Kevin from the Cartoon Network series, "Ben 10: Alien Force." I do not own anything about the series.

For some reason, I like this series and this couple. I know, I know ... it's a cartoon.

Thanks so much!

(I actually think this is not a scrap, but it is in my scrapbook because my regular watchers wouldn't be interested in it! Unfortunately.)

I guess I put it in scraps because most of my regular watchers would have no interest in it. (I've gotten only one or two comments from regular watchers because they happened to be a fan of the series and/or of cartoon art.) Plus my pencil art in my gallery gets very little attention. I do like the pic a lot though.

Thanks so, so much for the fav! I was pleasantly surprised so many people have faved/collected it!

You're very welcome for the fav.

I understand what you mean. I almost did that with some of my work, but turns out my watchers liked it! Don't be ashamed of what you enjoy.

Hey...There is NO SHAME in liking cartoons. Or animations as I prefer to call them. Now some cartoons are kiddy and mindless and are not worth even acknowledging, but there are plenty of sophisticated animated shows out there. I have not seen this one, but as always, your art makes me want to go look it up. I like the guy...He's got a strong, protective presence. Thanks for sharing!

I've seen the occasional episode, but I have just recently gotten into it. "Ben 10" has two major incarnations. One is when the characters are young, about 10-11. In that one, Kevin is a somewhat minor character, a bit of a "bad boy" on the run, who occasionally gets various monstrous powers. Ben has a mysterious watch that allows him to turn into about 10 different aliens, and his cousin, Gwen, eventually develops her magical powers (due to a grandmother who is an alien, as she finds out years later.) Their grandfather aids in their quest to defeat evil aliens, as he was a "Plumber", i.e. an interstellar policeman, when he was younger. I wasn't really that much interested in this younger version of the characters, though I now want to see a few of the older episodes just to see the developing relationships. The second one, "Ben 10 Alien Force," is when the characters are about 15-16. Kevin has since reformed after spending some time in an alien prison (I think), partly because he wants to be like his (absent and unknown) father, who was a "Plumber", and partly because he loves Gwen (though he is reluctant to admit it, mostly because of his shady past and because he feels like he doesn't deserve her.) Kevin is also, for a while, back in human form, with the ability to absorb various substances with his skin; though that has recently changed due to his tampering with Ben's watch, and he is back to being a "monster," as he terms it. Ben has different aliens to change into, has met the maker of his watch (called the Omnitrix), and is continuing to fight aliens with Gwen and Kevin as "Plumber's kids."
