“I can’t tell if he looks healthy or not,” Avgustin frowned over Ginger’s shoulder. Jin was still resting in the healing pod, his face in a surprisingly peaceful expression for someone who only days ago had nearly lost his life protecting Sanjin from a bomb.

“I think he’s breathing weird,” Fledge chimed in, nose pressed against the glass of the pod and staring past img display showing Jin’s vitals. Over Fledge’s shoulder, Cassius was standing with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face. He was growing impatient, and had been for the past few days.

“Oh, come on!” he cried in exasperation, reaching a hand over Fledge’s head to open the pod only to feel a sharp slap across his knuckles. Glancing over, he was met with Ginger’s fiery gaze and Fidget’s own reprimanding glare.

“No! Not yet!” Ginger snapped. “Just a few more ticks!” Cassius’ scowl deepened. In the meantime, Dust was in the background trying to get a decent glimpse of what was going on – he might have been the tallest of everyone but that meant little when everyone else was blocking his view. Fidget was doing nothing to help – at least she could fly.

“How much better do you think he’s going to get in ‘a few more ticks’?!” Cassius growled.

Season 4 both confused me and tore me to freaking pieces (Episodes 2 & 3 were easily my favourites from the season, and Episode 2 is possibly my favourite episode from the entire series so far), so I decided to go back to some sketches I had for this crossover-AU and finish one off. I went with this one because I needed to draw Ginger telling Cassius off. Speaking of Cassius, I finally drew him with grey eyes instead of red! I’ll be going back and editing the other pictures I have for this AU to fit with the descriptions I have in the written chapters, but I do kind of like him with red eyes as well (I know it’s been confirmed that he has grey eyes, but I’ve always headcanoned him with red, I don’t have Twitter) so I’ll probably work that into the plot somehow.
