So I got mixed up with the dates and thought my cousin's birthday was Friday the 13th this year... but it was Monday... but I gave her this black cat card anyway, because 13, luck, black cats... you know the drill.For those of you who've played it, yes, that is indeed meant to be the black cat from Ghost Trick. I couldn't quite get his tail right but I think I did okay with the pose. She's a gamer so I thought she might have played this but she had not. Maybe that's a gift idea for the future though.

Ah yes, I've seen those comics. I wondered whether the cat in those was a reference to Ghost Trick (the game I referenced the cat from here) but when I asked the creator celesse Β she said the resemblance was just coincidence.

You might still be able to get it off Amazon, or I think I saw there's an iOS version for ipad/iphone. Either way I thoroughly recommend it, it's SO good.

The lineless animation style is perfect for the DS's small screens and still looks good on the larger screens of the 3DSXL, the puzzle aspect all feels like it was planned out really well, although there's one stage that's really annoying to figure out (the jailbreak) but the rest are challenging but never feel impossible, I love all the characters (especially Inspector Cabanela), and the story has some twists I genuinely did not see coming, and a decent ending too, though there are some questions that are never properly answered, unfortunately they likely never will be as the game's sales were too low to warrant a sequel... but if you can find it, definitely give it a go, it's a lot of fun.

I never understood why black cats are meant to be bad luck, maybe because they're associated with witches.

Perhaps black cats' shadowy appearance is what makes people connect them with familiars.
Or perhaps it's just because witches traditionally wear black and people assume they match their familiars' appearance too
