Description I think this was an American croc, but I'm not 100% sure.

Taken at West Midlands Safari Park.

hehe yes he is alive. Crocodiles bask with their mouths open like this if they are too warm, it helps them to cool quickly.

Aww thank you for the painting love. I really have to thank you for taking the picture. My opportunities to photograph reptiles are few and far between. The pieces you post help tremendously to find subjects for me to practice painting.

You're welcome Tho I would suggest you check that people are happy for you to use their photos first next time, I don't mind one bit, but others don't like their work being used this way. Feel free to use any more of mine for reference, I'd like to see some more
