Description Some weird surreal stuff. This took me a while to complete, I was really undecided about certain aspects of it, and on top of that there was a week when I really couldnt work with it do to a minor family crisis. The bottom of the scan is cut off, I may go back and have them re do it (I hate showing my art to people. At least people who arent expecting it. I feel very judged I guess.) In general I like this, the downward oozefrom white to black, her ichor feeding the earth,

This is really beautiful. I can understand your comments about not wanting to show your art to people because they are judgemental. I felt like that for a long time, but there comes a time when you have to put it out there. Stuff other people - your work is wonderful and unique and needs to be seen. Everyone has weird thoughts - but not everyone can express them as art. This has a very organic feel - she is part of the earth and the earth is part of her. The touch of red is very effective. It has a story.

This is a very interesting painting; I'm curious on whether the black ooze is coming from her or she is formed from the ooze (maybe both like how human are formed from dust and dust they will become in the end). I also like how this show there's beauty in a wasteland (great that you made her kimoto design the same as the background so she doesn't appear out of place or unique from her surrounding); great job

Thanks! In my mind I see the ooze coming from her, but somehow it is part of the environment at large, she's just an agent of natural corruption here. Im glad you like the kimono; there was part of me that was worried it would be too repetitive in an already very unsaturated piece, but I definitely wanted her to mirror her surroundings. I spent a long amount of time thinking about whether she is part of the environment or a foreigner, a plague. Ultimately to me it is even a mystery, the image came very randomly and I wasnt able to impose one set narrative or meaning to it as I painted.

Hmm...interesting...very interesting, indeed. I guess we sometimes draw with no real reason or idea or we draw whatever comes to mind, even it doesn't make sense or we have no clear idea what we are creating. As least, it turned out great in the end.
