This is just a simple tattoo design I want to get. I toyed around with different poses but I liked the contemplative nature of this one. When I see a crow like this, it seems like it sees something coming, and it will likely fly away before you realize it's too late to get out of the way. I thought about adding other objects or backgrounds, but decided that the lone crow looked the best; simple, stark, dramatic. Everything else seemed to steal the spotlight, make the crow blend in, or even cage the bird. So this is the final product. I'm hoping to make a similar owl tattoo to go opposite this.Related content

I really like this too would you mind if I also use it for a tattoo. I am an artist myself but just can't come up with anything. I've wanted a crow tattoo for a while but the recent death of a friend whose totem was the crow has prompted me to finally go do it and I liked your reasoning behind the pose. My daughters name is Alice too.
