A humpback whale showing how it's done.My "shot of a lifetime". Maybe I'll get better shots then this later in life but for now I'm very, very happy to have seen this.

Wow. This is great timing. ^^ Very beautiful shot. The background makes the whale stand out even more. I've seen humpback whales, but have yet to see them jump. It must have been amazing to see it. Great job!

that's awesome! When I was at Juneau, we saw 2 cow/calf pairs, which we were told to be rare sighting when then get to AK. Great shot! All i saw on my criuse was fins, tails, and their backs.

We were told that it was a rare sight. The cruise people took out their camera's as well.

they're so neat looking. We ran into a rod of humpbacks on the way back to Vancouver, BC, and it was just amazing! I saw one that it had it's huge front fin out of the water, tails, and water spurting out everywhere.

that's amazing! i've never seen a pic like this, with the flukes and everything. I love how the humpback is such a huge animal, yet the wide seas and skies make even the whale look tiny =]
