I disassociate myself from the fandom that corrupts Kingdom Hearts from the way it was meant to be. Yaoi fandoms in particular. Yaoi fans have destroyed some of my favorite characters. Like Axel. I loved Axel. Then they turned him into a sex-crazed pedophile. So, I don't pay attention to fanart, fanfiction, or anything fan based anymore. I'm a fan of the game, its characters, and its storyline.I know this will cause a stir. Go ahead and call me a purist. Is that such a bad thing? I keep to myself. I don’t flame others on their pages about it. So don’t flame me. There are others who agree with me on this. I’m not alone.

Agreed, I love KH and the characters, yet somehow Yaoi and Yuri shippers manage to take the fun out of it half the time. Bunch of assholes that lot.

I love this series, and I don't think the pairings ruined it, but I totally agree with this. I ignore all yaoi and yuri works and just look at the fanart and read the fanfiction that I know is harmless, and create my own works.
I wish people would stop with the pairings and junk (I support pairings, but I'm not crazy about the,) and just focus on the story and characters.

I'm actually done with fandoms. I will still make my own fanfiction and drawings but i will not read another fanfic other than my own. Yaoi and Yuri ruined Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII, Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Sonic, and Ouran High School Host Club. One question: Whatever happened to just being friends?

YES. Oh my goodness YES! I just basically stopped reading fanfics about it, and I'm real wary of fanart...sheesh, can't people let a kid's game be a kid's game. Axel is one of my favorite characters to. (he's like Reno in a KH setting...twas on purpose but still.)

For a long time now, I have not mentioned my favorite video game, anime/manga, movie, tv show, cartoon, or book characters because of the slash(?) pairings. I have not been willing to draw my favorite characters because some of the fandoms out there have just made me feel real uncomfortable for liking a character.
Of course, I am much, much older now, and considering fanarts. (almost 30, btw) I just don't like the crazed hype that fandoms bombard you with.
I understand people have different tastes, and that they feel obligated to believe it is their right and it is okay.
But, seriously, I am getting too fucking old for that shit. D:<
Now that that is all said and done. I am going to try and tackle some first timer fan arts, brave the fantard horde, and hope to survive.
((And drink a lot of booze in between to settle my already fried nerves.))

I totally agree. The fandom drives me insane. I may have my pairings and such, but some people are worse..
Pairing wars, character hating, bashing other fans, I mean it's ridiculous...
I mean seriously, Kingdom Hearts is not about the yaoi or the pairings, or whatever.

I agree wholeheartedly but not just for Kingdom Hearts. Other games I love that are ruined also by this too, I write my own fan stuff but I want to stay as true to the story as possible while adding in my own characters not just add in random BS for no reason my stuff actually has a point. I admit that I do like AkuRoku, but people go so overboard with it. Like 358/2 days, I've seen hate everywhere about Xion I kind of like her, and the storyline was touching! xD

I can understand where you're coming from, but don't just blame it on the yaoi fans. There's as much chance of him being with Roxas as there is with Xion. Spread the blame around if you want, but its kinda prejudiced to just put it on the yaoi fans.

I personally didn't like Axel, and the fandom made me dislike him even more by bashing the characters that he killed and making him seem like a hero. I suppose for me it's what the fandom does to my favorite character, Lexaeus, that pisses me off the most. They turn him into some dumb as hell whipped around manslave for Zexion, it's not right.

I love this, and it's nice to know that not all of us KH fans are corrupted. I don't have a problem with Yaoi or Slash (My fiance writes and draws a Yuri web comic). I even managed to join a few of the Kingdom Hearts groups on here after being in the fandom since the very start. What do I have in the inbox? Axel and Roxas playing suck-face. I left that group, because that's all there was. It made me a very sad DonnaKebab. This reminds me of something that one of my friends told me; 'Something can be really good, and then there comes the obsessive'. You've got a fave from me

Kinda offtopic...but am I the only one who seems to like Kingdom Hearts especially for the classic Disney in it? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love everything in it but everyone else seems to only care about the Organization buttsecking each other or any other male....then they say that all the Disney in it sucks even though that's mostly what Kingdom Hearts is. =/
Just saying, I also hate the yaoi shipping in these...I don't mind yaoi nor people who like to ship these characters as long as they are sane and don't rabid and fanbrat over everything.

Yeah, I'm tired of all the slash, and immature arguments over characters and parings. It's sad because it turns off people from actually paying attention to what really matters:the game itself, everything else is a distraction. The whole intention of KH was "Illustration of the heart." Other than fanart, and a bit of fanfiction ONCE in awhile, I don't partake in the fandom.
I mean, I'm not Kairi's biggest fan, but I don't bash her or flame her needlessly. I for one don't like her particularly due to bad writing. I like heroines, I have nothing against female characters in KH or any series for that matter, but I love DEVELOPED heroines even more. I mean, not all heroines have to be the best fighters, in fact in media we have a LACK of that. It's just that with Kairi, her developments are not through action, but they are merely given to her, or pieced together around her without lifting a finger or making a decision. This is especially evident in BBS. This is the same problem I have with Xion, and I'm sure many have this same problem with her.
I do enjoy Namine because even though she was a supporting character, and a damsel in distress (much like Kairi), she filled her role rather nicely. I wasn't too sure about her character in the beginning, but by the end, I actually CARED about her and her fate. Why? It's because she was developed nicely. She took action, and made decisions about Sora and to go against the organization even if it meant her downfall. Even though she really liked Sora and wanted a place in his heart, she let him decide if he wanted his memories back. She felt regret, and nobodies aren't suppose to even feel in the first place.
Kairi and Xion, on the other hand? They get they keyblades given to them on a sliver platter.
I'm just saying that not all of us who don't like Kairi and Xion are immature, slash-loving fangirls. Some of us have valid, well thought out reasons. Some of use actually want well developed female characters that we can love.
But yeah, in short, we should respect each others opinions, because it's not only good manners, but as good human beings.
Sorry about the rant, I just had to get that out!

I agree with this fully. I was a huge fantard of KH, only really got out of it about...4 months ago now, and even then the Yaoi shipping disgusted me. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Yaoi, I only hate it if it's non-canon which, sadly, is practically ALL KH Yaoi. It wasn't until a few years after I became a fan that I heard of the Yaoi fanbase...*shudder*
I like the thought of Final Fantasy character fighting with Disney ones, I mean come on, it's hilarious. But pairing a guy with another guy because "OMG HE SAID HE FELT LIKE HE HAD A HEART WHEN HE WAS WITH HIM!!1! TWOO WUV KAWAII DESU NE ^-^!!1!!!" is stupid. I actually wrote a journal ranting about AkuRoku and the rest of the OrgXIII shipping, and even my friends who supported the pairing agreed that I made some good points.
All I'm going to say is that the only pairing I will agree with is SoraxRiku, because in the initial planning, Sora and Riku were supposed to be gay for each other, but Disney thought it would be too mature for the American/European/etc audiences, so they changed it...feh

But there's just one problem. All those freaking Yaoi fanatics that MUST put every single Organization member with each other.

It's so irritating. Their character and image is already down the path of destruction. ;~;
Like Xemnas and Saïx. I love them to freaking death, since they're my two favorite characters. But I can't go one page of either of them on here without them sucking face or doing explicit things. It's rather ignorant, since Saïx and Axel were planning to overthrow Xemnas in the first place, but I guess none of those Yaoi fanatics even take the facts into their tiny brains.

I'm sick of seeing the slash. AkuRoku especially, since it's friggin EVERYWHERE. >.< You can't search for a single thing in Kingdom Hearts without coming across the slash. Hell, I've searched for HETERO couples and gotten slash ones (sometimes with the male slash couple bashing the female).
For once, I would like to be able to look in my DA inbox without seeing, "AKUROKUBUTTSECKS!!!" (and yes, some really DO get that graphic; I saw one in my inbox today of Roxas sodomizing Riku with his Keyblades. Keyword: KeybladeS). I'm sick of it.
