Amy and Sally clearly don't hate each other.... they're friends, after all.My question is, if they can be friends, why can't their fans be?

I totally agree with this. Even in the comic books, there has never been a confrontation between Sally and Amy. They have fought along side but never against each other. The crazy fan confrontation even prompted me to do this pic that asks one question: "Why The Hate?"

Yeah, this whole "Sally vs. Amy" nonsense was made up by spiteful fans. Spiteful shippers, I mean. It's all just maddening. Both girls would do anything to protect the other, and it's shown several times. I don't believe Sally and Amy argued even once. I could be wrong, I don't know. What I do know is that Amy doesn't hate Sally for "stealing Sonic" in the slightest. Never once was this brought up in canon.

As I said before, there has never been a confrontation between the two on this subject. In fact, even Sega never made any reference to who Sonic is attracted to romantically. As for myself, I'm staying neutral about this "triangle" until something totally canon is official. As for now, let these girls have someΒ comfort away from all this bedlam.

I agree, partly.Β I don't think they're the best of friends, but they're certainly far from the rivals that some shipping-crazed fans may make them out to be.Β At the very least, they don't let Sonic get between them.

I don't remember them fighting over Sonic even once, but I guess that's not saying much, since I don't exactly read the comics.

I haven't read the comics firsthand either, and the comics are really the only place these two girls would coincide anyhow.Β But I have seen snippets from the comics that suggest that there's a bias towards Sally when it comes to being paired up with Sonic, and yet Amy doesn't seem to mind.

Oh, yeah. There's certainly a bias. On top of kissing him multiple times, Sally even married Sonic and had children with him.
To be honest, I find it kind of out-of-character that Amy doesn't mind. Still, I'd prefer to see Sally and Amy as friends than enemies.

I have no idea why the fans can't get along, I may ship Sonally but I'm totally fine with peeps who ship Sonamy, heck even one of myΒ closest friends is a Sonamy fan ^^

Yeah, I actually do prefer the voice actors who played the Sonic characters in "Sonic X" as well as theΒ video games from 2005 to 2010, especially Jason Griffith, whom I think was the best voice actor for Sonic instead of Roger Craig Smith, but I still think it's cool that Mike Pollack was kept as the voice of Dr. Eggman nonetheless.

There's people who shipps Sonamy, there's who shipp Sonally.
I shipp Sonamy, because this shipp is more present in the games, and I don't like to read th Archie series, but I don't have nothing against who shipps Sonally; I even think that Sally is cute. People should agree and accept others opinions, not fight with others for simply character from a non-real universe.

I even saw a animation of Sally and Amy fighting with each other. It was gross, I hate that. In the comics, I know that Sally and Amy fight together against Eggman/Robotnik. Why people keep doing this, Why they don't make arts of Sally and Amy fighting together, like Sally showing her sword and Amy with Piko Piko hammer, doing a high-five?Β
